I haven't seen anyone talk about this: The music Mythrodak often uses if from Little Nightmares 2. At the end of Little Nightmares 2, we see a similar thing happen, with Mono (the main character) being doomed into an endless time loop where he becomes the villain, where the end and the begging meet up. The music in The Abyss is the exact same as when Mono is trapped in the Stomach of the signal tower, paradoxically slowly turning into the villain, in a timeless place like The Abyss. It is my theory that the story is inspired by Little Nightmares 2 (which is one of my favourite games of all time). Long story short, Mythrodak is in a time loop where he becomes the villain because of the people trying to stop him. (This can be seen as The Thin Man (future 'evil' Mono) leads him to the signal tower, by capturing Six (another important character similar to The Parrot)), leaving Mono to be betrayed and left to rot in the Stomach of the real Villain, the thing that caused all this, The Signal Tower.

There is no way this was planned, it's literally impossible, yet it still was.

So he ends at the begging, which is likely is the prophecy plumpkin mentioned of, that being “I will kill everyone in Minecraft,” and is why plumpkin states it as everyone that we love

'One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.' My guess is that this story is going to follow the classic route of the prophecy coming true purely due to the actions taken to prevent it. Mythrodak would have been perfectly happy living in peace with his pet bird, but now he is on the path to vengeance.

The murdered bird is likely his, but by the guardian's speech, his bird could very well be alive, "It was necessary to put you into such a state you are in now", a better option for the guards would be to keep the leverage and swap for a decoy.

The little nightmares background music matches the scenario very well.

When Sven said "Some things are necessary" I wanted him to say "Was it necessary to kill my bird?" just for that reference, man.

i love how this could be told from either the guards/pumpkins side or his, it really has so much perspective

Omg the trident is a callback to gladiator's pit pit where he escapes with a riptide trident!

It's kinda crazy that this whole storyline has so much lore and is so deep, while the main villain is some dude with a pumpkin and 2 fences on the side of it's body XD Edit: omg thank you so much for the likes this is the most i've gotten ever :D
