Germanicus lost around 25000 man for nothing. Arminius wasnt destroyed, he fought after the germanicus conquest against the germanic marbod with an army of 74000 man and won. The celts werent superior in military. They were conquered in the north by germanic tribes. Gallia was just better for farming, Germania on the other hand got amber and Blond hair. The battle of idistaviso was mostly roman Propaganda and was not decisive for the war. Also the germanic wars of drusus and tiberius targeted the conquest of Germania till the elbe.

If you can understand physics and the parabolic path of projectiles first mentioned by Galileo, it becomes hindsight for them to understand whether or not it will be a "good" one. Any kind of sport involving throwing or launching (javelin throw, hammer throw, discus throw, shot put etc) always requires an athlete to aim for a 45° angle with the most power as that generates the furthest range for the projectile.

Well, these are olympian professional throwers, they are not going to hit the judges. You have like 7-10 seconds of air time on those throws. All you need to do is just side-step 3 feet to the left or right and you're good. And there's a reason why you are not on that field and they are. Because they are all current or past coaches of javelin throwers, ex amateur or professional javelin throwers themselves. Everyone knows what's at stake.
