Спорт

Welcome to the World Athletics Watch Party, join the conversation on Twitter with our hashtag #WatchWorldAthletics.
Anderson Peters maintained his streak of 2019 championship success by securing the world title to become Grenada’s second world champion after one-lap star Kirani James.
Peters, aged just 21 and still a collegiate athlete, secured the NCAA title in June and Pan American gold in August and tonight he remaining unsurpassed from his opening throw to enjoy the biggest moment of his burgeoning career so far.
Silver went to Estonia’s world leader and IAAF Diamond League Trophy winner Magnus Kirt.

In the middle of the 20th century, a group of Basques (Northern Spain) popularized the sport of "barra vasca", a different way of throwing the javelin, turning the body at the time of the race, Félix Erausquín in an exhibition in Vitoria On April 7, 1957, he launched a 94.50m throw and the well-known journalist and adventurer De la Quadra Salcedo, in his time as an athlete, in 1956, threw the javelin at 82'80 meters and the following year he began to exceed 100 meters regularly. His personal record was set at an astronomical 112.30 meters away, an insurmountable distance for pitchers of the time. They could not go to the Melbourne Olympics in 1956 because they did not want to admit the Basque style and they changed the rules, apart from the fact that the stadiums were not prepared for those launches.

Well Anderson Peter buried the Neeraj fair and square. He had throws over 90 metres, which means he is getting better at this event.Neeraj had to settle for 2nd.

Heard this female commenter on a few different videos now and it's sad to me how much of a bias she has to a few specific competitors while dismissing the others. Maybe that's the reality of professional athletics. I don't personally care for it.

It's unfortunate they can upload an hour long video for pole vault but can't show even half of throws. Maybe there will be better luck on the women's javelin video. :(
