I left my Cane Corso with a friend to dog sit for about 3 hours. Her youngest child was terrified of all dogs due to a bad experience. When I came to pick her up, the little guy was cuddling with my 100 lb dog. He begged me to let Stella sleep over so they could have " more play time " and he said she made him feel safe. If that's not a testament as to what great family dogs are, then I don't know what is. Btw, she was a breeder rescue who was abused and neglected by a loser who previously had her. We got her 1 week before Xmas and she was the best gift I've ever received ❤️

It's the same with all the bull breeds, they are obtained as status dogs by people who do not want or have not got a clue how to socialise them. Most have their aggressive behaviour drummed into them so no wonder they attack people.

We got her when she was 4 months old. She was so scared and abused, it broke my heart 💔. I slept on our downstairs sofa with her open crate right up against the sofa for the first week. Once she knew she was safe and loved, her strong and loving personality came out. Miss her so much, but she's with her daddy now charming all the dogs and little kids in Heaven

I’ve had 3 corsos. What you say is true. But,,, if you want the #1 protector, it’s the Neapolitan mastiff. The Cane Corso is a Neapolitan fake bred with a pit/mastiff mix. In Italy, they use the boxer in the mix. The Neo has been bred for 3 thousand years to achieve it’s instincts are characteristics. The Cane is more agile, athletic and less maintenance than a Neo. They both drool and snore. The Cane is a 9.9 on guarding home and family. The Neo is a 10. The Neo or the cane does not need Schutzhund training if it is a pet. All the instincts are there, and the platitude is calm, till it senses you are in trouble. Then, look out. They will warn the danger, and if it moves forward towards you, there will be no turning back. What you have here is a Roman legionnaire. He knows how to go forward and plunge into battle, regardless of the odds or numbers. I had one cane that was a rescue, she was timid. My male replacement was alpha. I had one shy Neo, the rest have been alpha. People come over all the time, I just tell her to go lay down. She sniffs, then walks away. No anxiety or nervousness. They are stubborn. Commands don’t work. But, conversation does. After so many millennium with humans, there is a communication. They are both great dogs, I’m on my 7 th Neo.

Both of our girls were amazing and the bond they had was incredible as well. When talking to Shocka..it was like talking to another person. She was so smart and understood certain things that I would never have guessed and even though Lola was so much larger and extremely smart as well ..she played her role and always allowed Shocka to run the show. After Lola passed I told myself I can't go through it again and my son had American bully at his mother's that he has brought here to live and without really knowing..is exactly what I needed. He is a smart boy the excitement he shows when he sees me made me realize I can't be without a dog in our family.

(conclusion of what I have written -: they are such magnificent creatures and one of the best guard dogs especially for territory but they are not great family dogs so they shouldn't be called one because it can misguide a lot of people and when they are unable to control their own dog , community puts blame on that whole particular breed that they are aggressive and so and so which is just increasing the hatred towards all dogs but yeah read what I have written before saying anything) Okay I like your channel I like your videos I lovee your dog but if I have to choose a dog for my family's protection I'll choose German shepherd over any other dog I know each and every dog will die to protect their family but for most dogs like cane corso rottweiler the one person they know as their owner is their family I am not saying that every dog of that breed is like that I am just talking about their natural instinct (being the alpha is their natural tendency so if they think that someone is crossing their limits in their perspective they can attack and it can be someone you consider as family) It's a perfect dog for you but not for everyone I would say Ps-: well my favourite still remains the indie get one and you'll know how energetic , sustainable and adaptive a dog can be ( I love all dogs nvm😭❤️) Edit: if anyone's thinks that you have to train them properly and so and so I am talking about normal people like who don't have enough time to train their dog to that extent (not everyone is that good at it either) I mean a little training is important for every dog but for training dogs like cane corso American bully you need a little extra time and that's a fact. That's why firstly you have to consider a lot of things before buying dogs with such temperament

Top reasons (for me) not to get one: 1) They drool 2) They require a lot of food 3) It won't fit in well in puppy school, since it's too huge and clumsy to play with the other puppies 4) I don't like how they look 5) people have a (somewhat justified) perception, on what kind of person tends to own a big dog like that. 6) taking it to different places is a bit more complicated, than taking a dog with more manageable and less intimidating size.

Of the giant breeds I worked with as a groom tech, one of my favorite clients was a 1 year old cane Corso pup. I was the only one with the patience to work with him (he was very excitable and couldn't be kenneled). He was such a sweet dog, but it got to the point where a few of my coworkers couldn't work with him at all because I worked with him so much he just trusted me as if I were part of his family. I still love Akitas more, but if I were to pick a second favorite, it's cane corsos.
