@@hildaaroz7830If small dogs raw chicken wing may be safer. I remove hard end knuckle and take a cleaver to center knuckle to partially break up for better digestion. If super strong small dogs with strong teeth leg ok, but I would still remove hard knuckle for safety and couple cleaver hits to opposite end.

I would recommend avoid feeding chicken legs. Chicken leg quarters are often much cheaper as well as providing additional calcium.

Your baby is beautiful! I give my dogs much the same. Stopped feeding them dry about 18 yrs ago and my oldest dogs passed away at 20 and 19. All rescues. I add beef liver, chicken hearts and gizzards, beef intestines, chicken paws, fish that I've caught, blueberries, steamed carrots, apples, greens from my garden, homemade bone broth and goats milk. Plus a high quality fish oil and egg. During hunting season they do have some venison. I try to do all organic when and if possible. Love the coconut water idea! Will try it!

While it’s not impossible for dogs to get salmonella, it’s very unlikely. Dogs have a “hardcore” GI tract and much much stronger stomach acid than humans. The bacteria doesn’t stand a chance. I also freeze everything solid and thaw before I feed it to them. I know that freezing won’t kill 100% of all bacteria but for a dog it does more than enough.

Dogs digestive systems are built for a raw diet. This is why they can handle raw meat and bones. Just think about how a coyote survives in the wild. I know they are different animals but digestive systems are along the same lines.

Raw bones do not splinter like cooked bones. Raw bones are essential for a proper raw diet. Only cooked bones will splinter and perforate their bowel. Cooked bones are Never ok

Go to my channel bio and click on the raw dog food starter pack link. You’ll get free shipping on that order. Use my code CAMCORSO10 for an additional 10% off. Their food comes ready to go with organ and bone included. They make the process very easy. Open the meat, put it in a bowl and give to the dog. You can also find some food toppers and supplements on their page.

Chicken bones splinter when crushed - that's VERY similar to swallowing a razor blade.

You’d be correct if I gave him a Cooked bone . It’s really simple to understand everyone… how to strays and coyotes etc eat in the wild?? Someone comes out and de-bones it for them? Throws it on a plate for them? Maybe heat it up in the microwave a little bit?

@@camthecanecorso I love the love you have for your beautiful fur friend and admire the dedication and discipline that a raw diet demands. KUDOS TO YOU!!! I just Googled - 1) Cam's bite force measured in 'psi' is significant which apparently seems to (safely) crush chicken bones. 2) The digestive systems of non domesticated canines are differently suited for bones. One of my family's dogs was given a chicken bone that started "slicing" immediately after swallowing - he bled to death. He was a 'love puppy' - a mixture of unknown origin.

It really comes down to the size of the dog. And small breed should never be given a full chicken leg. It needs to be grinded up. Raw bones are actually softer and more rubbery than you think. For a large breed such as a cane Corso it’s so important for them to be chewing up raw bones. It cleans their teeth and gums, eliminates bad breath, and so many other great things.I apologize, I didn’t mean to come across rude. Raw feeding isn’t really new but it’s very uncommon, due to veterinary professionals not endorsing it. And the reason they don’t endorse it is because you have to be knowledgeable when raw feeding. You CAN harm your animal if you are uneducated in this area. Another reason is that, it takes money away from the veterinary professionals. Your animal will inevitably be healthier in a raw diet. Smaller non smelly stool. No bad breath. Easier to maintain healthy weight , reduced or complete elimination of allergies and so many other things. Check my channel out if got tons of vids and information on raw diets. Kibble is poison. Just look up the ingredients it will make you angry. Iv been raw feeding over 7 years with not a single problem. You just have to understand what you’re doing. Although a domesticated dogs digestive system is not equal to lets say a wolf’s… their stomach acids is still plenty strong enough and thrives on a raw diet. They were built to eat raw and until you personally see the difference you will not understand

@@camthecanecorso Actually - I'm the one that should apologize for NOT delivering/presenting my comment in a better context!!! I'm guilty of being ill-informed and wholly buying into the processed dog food phenomena. Our experience 1) predated the internet 2) followed back woods country traditions of table scraps and Alpo. You've made a subscriber [ your channel and philosophy] from this exchange - THANK YOU 😀
