Loved working on those 5 tons. I pulled an engine out in eight hours with a wrecker boom in the field. 3521 Ooh-rah!

It was so beautiful watching Matt and Brandon's bromance develop this last year. We wish you two the best!

It seems like you might want to buy a cheap impact wrench to store in the 5 ton to make opening the hood a bit easier. Messing with that many bolts using some adjustable wrenches does not sound fun.

There's a very good chance you guys way over filled it with oil. When oil leaks it L👀Ks like a ton of oil all over the place. But its actually only misting everywhere!! The oil gauge was reading low at idle because it was already warmed up.

cummins 8.3 should hold 40 warm idle everyday. the bearings are wiped, whistlin diesel style.

@@safetyfirstintexas nah the cta8.3 is a high volume low pressure engine. 10psi hot idle 650ish is normal.

When I lived in San Antonio that first few minutes of rain, especially at an intersection, were like driving on ice. Finally a vehicle to fit Oburst.

Put a couple layers of sound damper on the underside of the roof. It will make it a little quieter, take a lot of flex out of the roof, and make it a little cooler in the summer.
