Matt, my hubby is a 65 yr. old 3 1/2 year massive stroke survivor. He can't read write or speak and bedridden with vascular dementia. He has been watching your videos on KZread since coming home from the hospital in 2017 his son knew he would like your channel and it's been on every since. Well you and Andy Griffith. Most days he want let me change the channel to anything else watching all videos hundreds of times over the past 3 1/2 yrs I am sure. He was a master mechanic and manufacturer maintenance. Thank you for keeping him entertained during these hard times. He really enjoys watching you and the family. I also have enjoyed watching your channel with him. Oh BTW this is the 1st time I have ever posted a comment on KZread. Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I have been reading them to him. The smiles are really awsome. Just getting caught up after Spring Break with the kiddos: Winching Tip: stand a tire up under the winch line to raise the object you’re trying to winch to keep it from digging in to the ground. Also, put a weighted blanket over your winch line. Synthetic lines don’t whip as bad as wire but they can under extreme stress.

The tires break off the El Chromino because they were to big, and in the proses of dragging out the chromino he damages the wheel wells making them bigger :Matt "Now I can fit on bigger tires".

winches are definitely awesome! I have one winch mounted to a frame that slides into a 2" receiver hitch, and I have 2" receiver hitches on all my stuff including the front of my trailer. I just carry the thing around in my truck, and whenever I need it, which is more often then you would think, I just hook into a nearby receiver hitch, hook my 30ft jumper cables to the closest battery, and start tugging.

It’s funny that two cars of shiny metallic colors ave died in the pit so far.

Matt, I love the 1078 bro! a couple of recommendations are to drain your air tanks at least once a week and leave the valves open overnight, this helps keep moisture out of the tanks. 2nd, get a metal cover over the air tanks to protect the valves. I grazed a tree once and knocked off one of the valves and the truck was dead due to not being able to hold air pressure.

That Moser motors axle is made here in Portland Indiana, that's awesome quality on the chromino. Greg Moser said it's a product everybody wants but nobody needs and that's why he's going to make it.

Coming from a guy who’s been in the army for 11 years, put a piece of duct tap over that buzzer for when your breaks need air. Can definitely still hear it but it won’t be ear piercingly loud anymore.

He really should change out that rear axle for a 14 bolt FF 8 lug 1 ton if he plans on keeping large tires and spacers. But an easy fix is just ordering custom rims with a proper offset. That would more than likely fix the broken stud issues.

The red spot on the winch means this needs to be entirely on the winch to pull. It is the safety section and you are supposed to be at least 6 wraps on there to pull.

I love the bar on the front of Abel. It used to look really tall and not wide enough, but the guard on the front actually makes him look very good, proportionally. Looks more badass too 👍🏻

Good job on the rescue man If you gett some wheels with the right backspacing and don't use spacers. Judging by the size of spacer you were using, I'm sure you can find some steelies with the right backspacing for cheap. Even new ones. I'd try 3.75 backspacing. It's a very common lug pattern also so they aren't hard to find. Then just paint them chrome.

Look at the cab and spare tire controls on the LMTV. There should also be transport mode selection that compresses the suspension for loading into aircraft. If you only need a couple inches of clearance get under the door use that

They squeak when starting the truck is most likely the air actuated clutch fan. Air pressure disengages it. Try tightening belt

Fun fact. Trees are often used as a sled on cars when you don't have a tire.

That tree actually saved you!! Imagine all that metal draging on that trailer. It was a little ski for the chromino lol Also the squeak when you start it you it up chief tighten one of the belt tensioners.

Need to build a big ol’ equipment barn down by your demo ranch range. Also: you should look into getting a big ol’ water tank or giant mil surplus water bladder for storing extra water (in the event of an oopsy with tanerite or something fun).

Day 5? Of asking to hang the giant chrome nuts on the back of the 5 ton😂
