A video idea: coaching someone who has trouble with back Extension and showing them pull with a straight back after being trained correctly

We are too! Thanks for coming back and dropping a comment.
Whoa, y’all are back! That’s awesome to see and I hope more content is on the way.
Thank you sir and welcome back👍🏽
Love this, thank you
Whoa! Where the hell you guys been?! Please keep posting content here! Thanks!
Good video. Ive read though Supermans are bad some nerves in your spine, so i dont recommend them , even if they are effective. Instead, I recommend the lower back extension, if you have access to one
Glad to see you guys posting on here again, and have learned a lot from their videos, but this one did seem to be missing some important cues, and some weird ones like your back should be “uncomfortable”. I’m not saying I know more than the guys, but this video did not seem up to par with their usual content.
Was just thinking I need to see if Mind Pump has a great deadlift tutorial. And Holy shit it features Braydon Barrett. Nailed it.
very helpfull video!

Thanks for the tip! Your shorts are fire! What brand is it?

Ten Thousand. Probably a $60 pair of shorts.
Nice, video! Sounds like someone follow Mark Rippetoe :)
Curious - I have a long torso and short legs, and getting my back straight in the conventional deadlift puts me in a parallel to the ground starting position without a heel lift. Would wearing lifting shoes essentially put me in too much of a deficit? My conventional is practically a stiff leg.
Since when does Razor Ramon make KZread videos?

I love his socks😊
How would this apply if you’re still using dumbbells?
Wow great
Ya a tricky lift some times!
Where the sock’s from

@@MindPumpTV Thank you! This link works, but Ann helped me through email earlier. Since then, I have purchased and completed day 1. Thanks for your help!

The reasons for weightlifting shoes don't really make a whole lot of sense. You should learn to pull properly barefoot/flat sole shoe first imo. You'll never see anybody worth their salt deadlifting in oly shoes for that reason. One variation I'm a fan of is snatch grip deads in oly shoes (stole this from Shane Jerman/MSTsystems), and what makes this a very useful and viable variation is it really forces you to keep your hips low and maximize lower body engagement; teaches and very directly strengthens leg drive off the floor, has great carry over to conventional pulls if you happen to be pretty back dominant like I am, as it just further enhances my already absurd floor speed and strength.

@@braydonbarrett3742 bro I was tripping haha. Your the man bro appreciate your content brother ✌
I was doing these wrong smh
I know this video is not a full blown tutorial to deadlift but if you are going to do a setup to deadlift at least do it right. 1. So nipples pointing the wall and butt*ole pointing the wall is a big no. You want to keep the spine in a neutral position. Listening to this cue will make you do anterior pelvic tilt as you try to point your ass*ole the wall behind you and at the same time arch your back trying to point the nipples to the wall in front of you putting to much pressure on the low back. 2. "If you back is tight and uncomfortable you did it right".. WHAT?... NO. Your back should not feel uncomfortable. It should feel a bit tight mostly from doing valsalva maneuver which is inhaling and tightening your core (newbies reading this please learn/research how to do this correctly since it can really save your back from injury). 3. Number 5 - stand up with the barbell... So just stand up? No valsalva, no packing lats, not making sure we braced and removed the slack from the bar? And this is just from the top of my head. Am I missing something here or this video need a bit more work?

I agree. I tell my athletes to imagine someone is going to punch them in the gut to que core contraction. Contracting the spinal erectors will cause lumbar hyperextension (and usually pain the next morning). Contracting the lats usually takes care of the upper rounding and keeping the chest up.

this is really just filler content for barebones beginners. Good editing and camera-work makes it seem professional and all-encompassing when really, there is A LOT more to it.
Step 1 get some stupid overpriced name brand shoes and silly ass socks
