Unfortunately Jaguar is not offering any manual transmission for the F type anymore. If you really want a proper manual transmission version you have to find a fist generation used one overseas and import it. If I could find one with a manual I'd want the same spec.

As far as modern cars for sale on the dealer lot today. The F-type has one of the best sounding 4cyls, 6cyls and v8s. Really great tone to them.

Ahh... I still remember the day I got my brand new F-Type (back in 2017, coupe V6). It had to be towed because it leaked coolant fluid after a 200 km drive. Nice surprise afterwards: Jag (HQ, not my dealership) was aware of the issue but didn't bother to send out a recall. Instead they only posted a service bulletin on how to fix it. Aside from that I've had almost no issues with it. Three years later, 80k kilometers driven. Still enjoying every drive in it.

Wow I’m surprised that was your only issue. Have had a lot of JLR vehicles and they have had a lot of issues. Full sized Range Rover is now on its 4th complete coolant tank replacement

@@DavidRamseyIII yep! I've had the V6 for almost four years now. Recently got it tuned so it went from 340 to 400 hp, giving it a bit more punch in the >4k rpm range. It's a brilliant car and very suitable as a daily driver!

Love my F Type. The sound gives you the rush you live for. I come from a Vette background and have enjoyed the change. That said, the sun visors a useless appendage and I think the ride is stiffer than my last Corvette. I appreciate the subtle styling cues, especially compared to the “look at me” screams of the Vette. I couldn’t make the leap from the C7 to the C8. I’m sure it will grow on me but right now I’m happy with the Jaguar.

Bear in mind that in the UK market, the F-type will still attract a lot of buyers, not just for patriotic reasons, but because a Porsche 911 with the same power output will cost at least £40,000 more. The power output puts the F-type in Porsche 911 Turbo territory here in the UK, and in this market, the 911 Turbo is close to a whopping £160,000 (Just checked this on the official Porsche UK website - £155,970 for the hardtop Turbo S). If you buy the Turbo S Cabriolet, that's £165,127. Paying £40K to £50K less for a convertible that delivers 99% of the performance of a Turbo S Cabriolet is going to sway a lot of buyers here. Plus, given what I've repeatedly said about insurance for sports cars being utterly penal here in the UK, the F-type suffers a little less from this - turn up at a UK insurance dealer with a 911 Turbo S and your premiums look like those for a warship. The F-type won't be cheap to insure here, but the words "Porsche 911" on their own will add 30% to your premium regardless of which model you insure in the UK. Worse still, the words "Porsche 911 Turbo", will make any UK insurer familiar with the "Widowmaker" nature of the 1980s Porsche 911 Turbo clench involuntarily, and even though modern 911 Turbos have the "Widowmaker" parts of the envelope tamed, those memories still influence a lot of insurers here. Speaking of insurance, there exist specialist Jaguar insurance options here in the UK, which will help to take the sting out of the premiums, and if you're an over-45 driver with an intact no claims, there's big savings to be had if you explore those options. On the other hand, 17 years olds fresh from passing their driving test need not bother unless they have VERY rich daddies. Here in the UK, the biggest dent in Jaguar sales will come from BMW and Mercedes models, rather than the 911, because there are some *relatively* affordable competitors from those marques in the UK market, whilst the 911 is pretty much a banker's car in this market. Furthermore, those with the money for a 911 Turbo here, but want to stroke their badge snobbery itch, will swallow the bitter taste of moving up to a Bentley, with the colossal costs involved therein. EDIT: just for fun I visited the Jaguar website, and £111K gets me this: buildyour.jaguar.co.uk/jag2/r/summary/_/en_gb/f-type_k21/481j3/a-50p-575-aawd_a-cecvbs_sr1/a-020bk-020jb_a-svo7_n-011ae_n-017dl_n-017wb_n-031jt_n-032gj-cvsr_n-086mb?roofUp=true That's an F-type with £8K of options. By the time I'd finished adding options to a 911, I'd be nudging £180K.

Seems like the F Type shares some of the spirit of the E type.

I've had my "17 F Type R for a year now and i still love it like when i first got it. I had a supercharged C7 before the R and i don't miss it. Looks, sound, and nice interior. I can fit one full sized suitcase in trunk with cover off so its not great on luggage capacity but its adequate for a 2 seater. Can definitely fit plenty of groceries and carry on luggage back there.

i have the f type R but old version , and its exactly the same interior ... a sad face lift i suppose but still i am in love with this car

Bought a new 2024 Jaguar F-Type 75 coupe w/AWD and its awesome af. I picked the F-Type over a C8 Corvette and other similar cars because it has AWD, good warranty and its beautiful looking. I'll keep driving my F-Type till it belongs in a museum.

Finally has headlights that match the tails

It's always funny to me that Doug begrudgingly shows us tops going up and down. I love watching those engineering marvels dance around is almost always super cool. Especially on convertible hard tops. It's like real life Transformers. Doug: "Since you always seem to enjoy watching tops go up and down, well here you go." Audible sigh... Possibly that the air vent is a more 'natural' automation feel thing. while the lever is more of weird automate stuff!.. Maybe.. I don't know. i do understand him.. Maybe am weird.

In Fort Wayne Indiana we just had our Land-rover/Jaguar dealership just built. I went 2 days ago on Sunday and I loved this car. We have a couple in showroom that I seen through the window. I was wondering how it did in the snow. Very cool how there is that button for the snow. Cool car 🚘

I think every gear shift that functions exactly like this has this feature... you’d get sued if your car won’t start because it’s not in P and some old shmuck is bound to have no clue why the car won’t start.

BMWs do that gear lever thing too. It doesn‘t break. I‘ve kept myself busy with that little quirk for over half an hour one time. So mesmerizing.

I wished the F-Type R's side climate control vents on the left and right would also hide when the AC is off. This feature is available in my XF and i love it!

It comes attached from the factory. Bad news, it's there. Good news, no holes drilled into the bumper. Good news, it can be removed. Bad news, requires a lot of labor removing the bumper to remove the bracket. It's a good news/bad news situation.

@@notsaab Whoever designed this car MUST know it needs plates. They should have thought about it and incorporated the palate in better. Looks like an after thought and just slapped on. I also like how some cars in Europe use a decal on the hood not a plate!

Even if you press the start/stop while the car is running and in D or sport it will switch itself to park.

It’s not just the 2 badges that shows you got the best one Doug how about the huge quad exhaust tips tilting upwards and the sound is just amazing. in my opinion one is the best sounds of any sports cars. I’d buy one no question about it but where I live roads are bad and people don’t know how to drive lol

2014 F-Type V8S owner. Haven’t had a single problem with my car, not one! My 2015 Mustang GT had issues. My Charger had issues. My Mercedes C400 had issues. My C63 has a intermittent cam phaser issue. My Jag, no issues. The AJ133 Gen3 is sorted, has been for awhile. The ZF 8 speed is the industries best.

alanrtment porter No way. You just lucked out. LR and Jag consistently rank poorly. And honestly, I think that may be the turn off point for buyers. Brand name strength is perfectly fine. They’re gorgeous cars with prestige, but they’re known to be money pits, even when new.

Jags sell bcs the quality iss next level compared to more expensive utter trash. Like VW Hurican which is a full 2 secs slower than F to 60, on Dragy.

I always thought that the seatbelts and brake calipers on supercars should be colored matched. I mean they're both for stopping you. One is for stopping the entire car, the other is for stopping you from hitting the steering wheel or dash. lol. But I really do think the cars would look good with them color matched.

I have a 15 V8S convertible and love it. Owned for since 2019. Definitely would like the updated info center / radio but not what I bought the car for. Not a fan of the new headlights though, I think it took away from the original Ian design. Bang for buck when I bought it was great. This car I think is a hidden gem.

The original Ian design is astronomically better looking than this one. And it doesn't have these horrible square tail lights either. The concept behind those lights was to mimic a Jaguar's eyes. So squaring them out is awful

The door handles are auto fold when you press the button on the fob After you get in how does the handle close flush Is it auto or do you have to hang your arm out and close it maunually or do you need to close it with the key fob Nice job

@@starscream1457 1st year the F-Type sold 8,000 cars. Now, it might sell 1,000. Results speak for themselves. Jag does essentially zero advertising. By advertising, I don't mean commercials and ads, I mean paying car reviewers and magazines for a desired outcome.

I test drove the first Jaguar F-Type r. I found it so much fun to drive above any Continental GT, Audi R8, and other supercars I've driven. as soon as I get going I feel like I already know the car. This vehicle is really underrated as a driver's car.

I’ve never really looked at jaguar too much but they always have great sound. I didn’t hear the supercharger at all when you stomped on it though.

I do indeed enjoy watching tops go down 😋

The sound was just amazing . One can even hear the rumbling sound even when doug was talking about it. That's sound wouldmay be enough for many to get the adrenaline rush.

I really like it. I'll have to give them a little time to see how reliable they are, and what servicing/repair costs are, and then I may think about getting one. There's nothing like jumping right into a car that you think is a good deal just to find out that it's going to cost you another $100k. to keep it running for the next few years. lol.

That gear knob automatically switching its position from S --> P is pretty common in BMWs, my X3 35i MSport does it since 2011....big whoop!
