The best bike I’ve ever owned so far
For the quickshifter, you just need to dl it from KTM dealer, same for track mode. I have exactly the same since 2019 and it's a beast. Enjoy
Had a Gen 1. The LC8 is an awesome mill.
I just bought a 2016 super duke R and its power is surprisingly manageable (as someone who only had a street bike for a few months a few years ago). Crazy awesome bike, but wish I had some of the newer features.
Had one of these for 18 months and sold it a year ago, what a bike. I'm about to buy a '23 evo. There's no appreciable difference in engine performance but big leaps forward in handling etc.
Buddy, you are a legend. It’s refreshing to know that as good and skillful a teacher as you are, you aren’t consumed with the tech specs of every pioneering bike on the market. I traded a 2018 V4 T Factory for this bike. It’s a a far better road bike and they all come with a beautiful QS and Blipper, you have to pay to unlock the QS + MSR Pack, Performance pack or Tech Pack (the latter unlocking everything). All the hardware is already on the bike and you have to either buy one which has been spec’d with this or pay the dealer to flash the bike. The track pack allows you to adjust 9 way traction control, adjust the throttle response in track mode and turn the Anti-wheelie off whilst still having TC. It’s an intense phenomenal bike and it was so far ahead of its time that bikes are still trying to catch up even now. The lack of preload doesn’t bother me as I’ve had it dialled in. The suspension is very premium in spite of this. I’m also seeing 155 miles to a full tank at 52mpg, that’s all I need from a bike.

I love to see a v-twin in a performance bike. V-twin torque and lower rpm lower is so usable. Having had a GSXR 750 reving to the point it really went bananas felt crazy, like itbwantes to kill me. I havr a modified Yamaha Warrior 1700 and its brutal vtwin power!
If you try a newer one, make sure it is equipped with the quick turn throttle. With it, it can be vicious as it is loaded with torque.
Can't decide between this or the ZH2. Looking for more low and mid torque, and the one which is more maneuverable.

I own a 390 duke, it feels like a tornado driving over 60 on freeway. it sucks at 1 gear low speed(jerks a lot)

Local dealer has a 2018 with 700 miles. Asking 17k. Seems steep. And why so low of miles for a 5 year old bike.
Don’t compare a 2018 to the newest competition. Do the Gen 3 sometime.
Well.. i like the lights however thats it the tank looks a bit funky also feel like it looks a bit squashed also hate the sound of it.
All super dukes come with a quick shifter (fitted) but you have to pay to have it unlocked as you do with the new one too and the same applies to the anti wheelie and track pack you have to pay to unlock stuff on them ……I have a superduke and love it but I do think that part of them is a con really I paid and unlocked it all but all in that’s about a thousand pounds on top and I just think if it’s there already then you should have it standard but when you do it it makes a massive difference to the bike though and in track mode your numbers turn red and you can change your throttle response I have mine t 1 to 1 and turn the brakes to supermoto mode which basically turns off abs to the rear so you can slide into corners (which you would never use on the road) but it’s there none the less? An awesome bike though loads of grunt and handles and feels like a supermoto on steroids
