The #2 Ranked Player That Won’t Play In The NBA | Cameron Boozer Film Breakdown & Scouting Report

Behind AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer is ranked as the #2 high school basketball player in America in the class of 2025.
Cameron is the son of former NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and there has been an ongoing debate on who is the best high school basketball player in the country between: Boozer, Dybantsa and the #1 player in the class of 2024, Cooper Flagg.
Cameron’s twin brother, Cayden, is one of the best natural point guards in the all of high school basketball and Cameron has benefitted from playing with him at every level.
When breaking down film for this scouting report, Cameron’s lack of effort and low motor was evident in every game in played. He is an average athlete and is scared of physicality in the post.
At 6’9, 215 lbs, Cameron has the size to be a force in the post but consistently gets dominated by more active inside players. His shot-first mentality causes him to cut corners when running offensive sets and he lacks the perimeter playmaking skills to make up for it.
Cameron is an elite outside shooter. In order to get a clean look at the rim, Cameron has to be set up by his teammates (Usually by his twin brother) and when he doesn’t have an open shot he puts his team in a compromising position with his bad decision making.
In this scouting report, I completely dissect his game and I give him the changes that he needs to make if he wants to ever see meaningful minutes in the NBA.
What’s your thoughts on Cameron Boozer’s game?
Who does he remind you of?

But I am very confused by the inconsistency in the analysis/opinions. So Dyabantsa say he wants a coach to get on him and its all good, but Boozer says the same thing and its like he’s a cornball? Mike, I appreciate you for reaching out brother and thank you for the $9.99 Super Thanks. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to educate your son on the game. I underestimated the reach and impact of the high school scouting reports. You have added to my fire to make more. If your son has any suggestions for the player he wants to take to break down, let me know. We have more on the way. Praise God. Praise Jesus.

There have been quite a few players with problems who played in the NBA however, even if it was just for a couple of seasons. Compared to them, a player like Cameron Boozer will play in the league for a few years, at least.

@Regular.com2 enough people around jim are certainly aware. It's just not clear what kind of played he is in terms of handling adversity and criticism. He's had a lot of advantages with his genes, his father & his connections, his brother running with him etc. Things have probably come pretty easy to him at this point. Separating himself at that next level is different. Does he have the drive and desire to outwork guys who have as much talent as him? That remains to be seen. His family has money. He ain't lifting nobody out of poverty. He has to decide does he really love this like that. Not everybody does.

@@DorianGroup82 he's my #1 prospect for the Class of '24. He just shredded the Boozer Twins for 38 in his last game. The kid looks polished. Obviously still has some holes in his game but he can do it all and is a bonafide 6'6" playmaker. Obviously helps he has NBA championship pedigree with his dad, Ron Sr.

You see the Eli Ellis comments coach, and he’s got a lot of film so give the people what they want I think your breakdown on him would be interesting. I’m not sold on him being a nba player but he’s definitely cooking most ranked players in high school right now.
