If they get more global market share they'd ditch MIUI. At least that's what I heard from the CEO (correct me on this) of POCO. Sounds easier than it is, but the best case scenario is that they pull through with stock Android.

The poco F1 has been my main device for a long time now. Nothing came close to it till now in the price segment. Slapped a custom rom 2 days after I got it and works great still. Still got 3600mah out of 4000 after 1+ year of use.

i feel you, if u wanna buy a new phone wait for when stores lower their prices, redmi's are REALLY good, redmi 7A and 9A are sold for around $100 but if u wait for the sales u can get them for $70-80, they have great cameras, battery life and storage you should check them out

Same here, in Indonesia this phone priced around 2 million rupiah which still quite expensive by a lot of people in my country standard. Everytime i see mkbhd or mrwhosetheboss videos, sometimes i wish someone from developed country who wants to buy new phone donating their old phone to me or anyone else who's also enjoying those channels in third world country, because i'm sure their old device still so much better than mine 🥺 (I'm still using xiaomi's redmi 3 lmao)

@@manoharreddy8760 sure some stock apps like the security app has ads but people are over exaggerating the ads like its all you see 90% of the time. Been using poco x3 for awhile now. Loved it , and also you can turn off the ads. It's not that hard.

@@brucewayne243 Its actually fine but playing heavy games like Genshin impact will get you a few problems. Just like what Marques said, its not that fast but still fast enough to play other games. The only best thing about this phone is the battery which I am fond of it.
This phone also comes with stereo speakers and an IR blaster.

About 10 months later, I snagged the 128GB version of this phone for 125.79 USD. At this time they have a new version called the M3 Pro, using a Mediatek Dimensity 700 instead and supports 5G (whereas the other one supports LTE/HSPA at the most). This model can be had at reasonable prices now, since the stocks are being cleared. It's not too bad of a device for its specs, there are very few that can price and performance compete mid range, even after its own production line has been retooled.
Just remove MIUI and install a custom ROM and you'll see the difference in multitasking and performance.

Talking about Poco occupying the OnePlus space, the software of OP alone was an attraction, as a way of getting clean(ish) Android if you couldn't afford the nexuses or later the Pixels. Poco has come a long way from the early and atrocious MIUI, but it still has far too many bugs. I'm using the X3, and I had a better experience with my older LG G6 in terms of UI behaviour.

@Pap Ant The Moto E4 was released in June of 2017 so that's 3 1/2 years ago now, my mother, sister, girlfriend, and her daughter all have the Moto E 2020, and with heavy usages they have no trouble getting all day battery life, and then some, and lite usages almost 2 days, and the picture quality is very good, plus it has Android 10 out of the box that does not have a bloated UI, which has gotten several updates since it's release, and I payed well under $100 for each of the phones. Not Motorola's fault you bought a phone that was already discontinued from their lineup when you bought it. The Moto E, and G range have greatly improved over the years by leaps, and bounds, it's the reason why the Moto E, and G lines are some of the best selling budget phones on the market today, and CNET reviewers give them such high praise.

What a great review. I hope I can get this in the USA.
i was looking for a new phone for my mom and landed on this M3, no more early bird pricing but at the same time the 128GB version (in my area) costs like $6 more, so it's a no brainer, if it was for me i would at least bump it up to the Poco X3, for $50 more, just because it looks too slow, but my Poco F1 is still going strong.
That 2 megapixel macro is Marques’s favourite camera in a smartphone to anyone who is new

@Marques you know you can remove animations and some of the bloatware that slows the phone down and disable ads . It does make a difference
My friend bought this phone a month ago and i was messing up with the camera and i decided to take a time lapse of the sky. So i kept it on a flat surface and when i return in 10 mins the phone was not there. It has fallen off that 1m heigh concrete bar. Not even 24 hours has passed and i was able to ruin his phone with a huge crack on the display.

You'd actually be surprised, many people in low income areas in the US rely on these cheap budget phones, and more so on those phones being discounted by prepaid cellular companies. Poco obviously isn't exactly an option (Chinese brands have been completely removed, excl. OnePlus), however they usually get the extreme budget samsung/lg phones and sometimes Coolpads and moto's.

Honestly, I'd love to see more ultra low budget phones like this featured on the channel.
If I where a kid and wanting my first phone and my parents got me this because it was cheep, I'd be over the moon. It is amazing that this kind of stuff exists at such a price range.
