I liked the iPhone mini. The form factor is good for just dropping in a pocket. My current 13 is a bit bulky.

I got mine last week, but I haven’t opened the box yet. I’m not switching phones-I bought it as a secondary phone, 'upgrading' from the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Honestly, this phone doesn’t offer much beyond what I can already do with my current iPhone, except for the improved camera. I came here to see if there’s anything exciting about upgrading from a 2021 iPhone, but to be honest, I think I’m going to return it. It seems like a worthwhile upgrade if you’re coming from a phone that's over five years old, but for me, it feels unexciting and bland. I might have made a mistake buying it😅

What a complete waste of materials? The vehicle should be built out of recycled sham. At 3 tonnes, it is a complete road menace to other road users. The 'A' pillar goes even further into dynamic blind spot creation, and its true utility is questionable, to the point of being inutile.

Regarding 5G (at least for phones): Like who even needs more than LTE for a phone? Sure 5G is faster, but even if you get all that speed, my dataplan just runs out in 40s at 1GBit and nothing I do on the go needs that much, YT works flawlessly on LTE basically anywhere. I'd trade 5G any day for better coverage, a higher data cap, higher bandwith after I hit the data cap or even just a cheaper plan. It's cool that it's there, but without an unlimited plan (which is ≥80€/mo. here), more speed is useless.

Nah panel gaps are awful. When it comes to cars am pretty much a peasant, I drive a used, but still not too old VW Polo, which all the car people keep telling me there's better things for the money and the only thing I know about my car is how it looks, what features it has and the horsepower and if I open the hood, the only thing I could actually repair are swapping the battery and lamps (and refilling stuff). But like those Tesla panel gaps. Like WTF, this problem has been solved for like decades, how van you build something like that? It look like it's the cheap knockoff from China that's half the price (even though the Chinese cars for some reason have better panel gaps...). It might be a cultural thing as well as in Germany you see a lot of cars from the German, European and Asian automakers, maybe the standards are just worse in the US, but here those panel gaps definitely stand out and it looks like the whole car has a structural issue after a crash or something. Of course for most it's probably not a show stopper for most as you said, as it's only visual, but it's definitely jarring and also definitely worth stating in reviews.

I read the other day someone speculating that these products could make it so one day in the future you may not need to bring a smartphone with you. But these products in their current state feel so vapid. Its hard to call it a product at all. The rabbit R1 looks like a Kickstarter with all the promised features that aren't available at launch. (if they'll ever be available.) Also I'm not confident in the LAM or the generative UI getting close to usable anytime soon.

The device is likely making an educated guess. It's really not that hard to figure out someone's device location, even without location services on. People tend to forget how much data you shed just by daily internet use.
