The 12 WORST BUGS I have reported that are STILL in Minecraft

I have reported over 300 bugs to Mojang, and over 100 of them are still affecting the current release 1.20.4 and development version 23w51b. Here is a list of the 12 worst ones that are still in it and will likely affect 1.20.5 as well.

    Note: At the time of recording and uploading the video, #12 was considered a bug according to Mojang with a normal priority, however, they have recently decided that they did not want to fix it and that it would be a feature instead.

    i hardly see how a particularly bizarre visual bug gets the #1 spot over something that literally lets you unfairly accidentally summon wardens

    tbh one of the reasons i really like minecraft is because of all the random bugs that happen from time to time. Like, i genuinely thought that the fall and trip sound was intentional.

    I love finding bugs too! it's almost like a scavenger hunt. and also finding weird ways to break the game

    There is a considerably worse bug than all of these that for some reason has been in the game for ages. You know how the enderdragon can sometimes, seemingly at random, knock you back up to insane heights requiring a water bucket clutch? This is a bug. You see it in most dragon fights, it's probably the leading cause of deaths, and it's a bug. 105770 on the tracker.

    Yeah it's supposed to have a cap of like 20 blocks iirc but the knockback stacks and can launch players hundreds of blocks

    There's still multiple textures in the game that have not been changed even though they should. This is like the side of podzol, the bedrock part of end crystals, and practically every gui element that uses textures that have been updated. All of them have been around since 1.14 and only a few of them were actually fixed, like signs.

    The texture of Colored terracotta also doesn't match uncolored, terracotta was changed in the texture update but the colored ones weren't

    For #12, as I now see you mentioned in the bug report, I thought this was because the animation was sped up to match their walking speed too. Which is a feature that makes sense and looks good on other mobs that don't bob up and down in their animations, but does look weird for Sniffers. (Also there's another bug report for the same thing for armadillos) And I also kinda like #6, just because it's nice to have a sound that represents entering the world/dimension, and the fall/trip sounds fit nicely. Although I do now see how it is caused by a bug.

    The fall & trip sounds one is definitely affected by lag :) For me, in superflat it's basically nonexistent but on servers it's very common. I couldn't even reproduce in my test world so I had to use my actual survival world It would be cool if they had a designated sound for the world loading though, maybe a quieter, distorted version of the nether portal travel sound.

    Bug #12 is actually kind of not-a-bug bug if you know what I mean. It's mostly due to how their walk animations look hence why it looks weird even though the same exact thing happens to Cows or Pigs, but their walk animation is so simple most don't even bat an eye about it at all. Same thing happens to Turtle animations btw. Although they did fix this for Frogs.

    i made a bug on bedrock that temporarily reverts the ender dragon to its rigging pose, but they patched it. it was absolutely hilarious

    I hate it when I place or break a block, and it does not show this update. I will put a block there, but it isn't there, so I will put another there. Still no block, so there is a third... Now, I have to break 2 blocks; but after I break them (after they have finally loaded), they do not disappear! They are still there; only, they have no collision detection, and are practically just a defunct "ghost" hanging around, inconviniently, for "decoration" or what have ya...

    What about this bug, when enderman anger sound playng for seconds after his death? Very annoying. Is mojang planning to fix it, or its feature?

    It's reported as MC-94956 on the bug tracker but sadly Mojang said they won't fix it

    i like how biomes dont generate as biomes anymore, i generated 21 seperate worlds and only 3 of them had a cherry grove or meadow biome that wasnt just 3 trees

    Yeah I know what you mean, sadly that's one they said is a bug they'll likely never fix. Large biomes is always an option, but biomes like oceans and jungles are already plenty big in default, and don't need to be 16x bigger

    Theres a bug, which i belive is really important and im suprised it hasnt been fixed after like 3 updates. When you hold your sheild up in Java while entering the neather, the game will think the sheild is still up when its not. (while youre in the neather), you can run around and if anything hits you; it blocks like a sheild would, it stops when you click to use the sheild, im very suprised its not been changed. (Sorry if my wording is poor im not sure how to word this bug)

    Can someone report this for me (I don't wanna create a Jira account tbh)? I thought this has been fixed or even reported for that matter but it's actually still present and broken since 1.16. The mobs affected by this bug are: Endermen Zombies/Zombie Villagers/Husks/Drowneds/Zombie Piglins (and their Baby Variants) Silverfish/Endermite Wither Skeleton [Melee] Skeleton/Stray Ravagers Vindicators The Bug is that after landing an attack or after the Player is in their melee range; they will temporarily stop for a second. This is most noticeable with Vindicators since they fold their arms back when they stop. If you wanna see how they are supposed to work; normal Piglins/Brutes and Spiders are not affected by bug at all. As well as mobs like Vindicators from pre-1.16 where they continuously chase their target/Player even after they land an attack/get close to the player. This is not to be confused with the already Resolved Bug where Melee mobs would become passive if you are very close to them. The mobs mentioned here still attacks even if you are very close to them-- but they will stop pathfinding and chasing their target, making their chase very choppy and slower than intended, especially for fast mobs like Ravagers and Vindicators.

    I once had a strange bug where you could give anything any enchantment, I reported it and Mojang said it was a repeat report, but my bug was way different, the only same thing being it being about enchants

    @@SomebodyandNobody0 Yeah, I've had some bugs I have reported closed mistakenly as duplicates, since so many reports are duplicates I think people just start assuming it's another duplicate, the search engine on the bug tracker isn't very good. Another possibility was it was actually the same underlying code causing multiple different bugs.

    There are many low priority bugs on the bug tracker that are not at all game-breaking, but these were all either Normal or High priority to Mojang and had a handful of votes to be fixed by other people, so they actually found these as fairly important bugs

    @@brevortofficial uhm just because others were able to reproduce and thus upvote your bugreport doesn't mean that those are important bugs. Importancy is determined by the developers not the users. Welcome to testing/bugfixing.

    @@CathrineMacNiel You must have misread my comment, these were the bugs that Mojang--the devs--assigned higher priorities to. I only used votes as a way to split the difference between the bugs with the same priority. So #6 has 20 votes, #5 has 0 because #5 has a higher priority (as obviously they don't have a unique priority for every bug reported).

    Bugs are still Bugs, just because they are minor doesn't mean they should go unreported. There's a reason why Mojang put a priority ranking for each bug so we can still report smaller bugs and have it be fixed in the future.

    If you keep letting smaller bugs through ur games gonna be shit, and ur thinking of all time standards so its obviously gonna be less exciting
