When he became Ronald’s best friend, he became a lot softer in design (he had a more spidery look originally), and they sorta just dropped the stealing milkshakes bit.

Hi, Strider! So you can get churros (pronounced something more like "CHOOH-rhohs") in both Spain and Mexico, but they're made and taste differently. Mexican churros are made of fried choux paste, and are sweet; whereas Spanish churros are made with a salty dough and therefore are, well, salty. I've also seen people covering Mexican churros with cinnamon and sugar, which would be another difference (normally Spanish churros are left plain to dip in chocolate, milk or coffee; or are covered only in sugar); but I'm not sure if this is how it's finished or creative liberties.

the choco taco didn’t fail, everyone loved it, I mean, maybe it wasn’t doing as good as it was in the 80s, but it was still selling really good.

The Choco Tacos were around for over 40 years and weren't exclusive to Taco Bell; in fact, it didn't start as fast food but rather was invented by an ice cream vendor and initially sold on ice cream trucks. I remember first eating them in the 1980s at Taco Tico restaurants in the Midwest, but once Klondike bought the rights, they were available in the frozen food section of most grocery stores. For a while, there were even different flavors (for instance, chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla, and I think there was even a fried ice cream flavor). They were really good so long as they hadn't been refrozen (this would happen a lot at convenience stores, when they were in ice cream coolers that could be left often by customers)--nothing worse than crystalized ice cream and a compromised shell.

One of my friends used to work at a busy McD when we were at college. Apparently they coined a term 'F*ck Off Pie' because whenever a customer complained for no reason, they offered it to them as compensation. It's because those were much easier to write off than a cheeseburger, fries or ice cream, especially since they weren't that popular.

In the words of Ron Swanson "Frozen yogurt, be ice cream or be nothing" I enjoy both but in any hypothetical of someone offering me one of the two, I always pick ice cream. I'd rather have regular yogurt as a desert now that I think about it, it would be a healthy choice. Great video Strider, your videos are cozy and your positivity inspires me!

However, later on 2 of his arms fell off and he became a good guy because kids were genuinely horrified of him. Also, his uncle, uncle o'grimacey, exists to advertise the shamrock shake. He is also my favourite mcdonaldland character because hes less dumb than grimace while still being a huggable guy. Hi Strider! Thank you so much for talking about the infamous Jack In The Box Bacon Shake! I remember when I first found out about it a few years ago, I was like "This actually exists?". The Grimace Shake from what I've heard was pretty mediorcre, but I'm glad the Mcdonaldland characters made a bit of a comeback. Back to Jack In The Box, they also had a Hot Apple Turnover during the 1970s, but there is no info about it sadly. It looked good though. Also during the 1970s, Jack In The Box had animated commercials with a group of characters known as the Jack In The Box Bunch, led with a earlier incarnation of Jack himself, who had a cartoon-ier design. They even had three comics: How A House Makes Noise, Where Oil Comes From, and How Pain Helps Us, with Paul Winchell, best known as the voice of Tigger [and inventor of the artificial heart] doing the voices. A lot of mascots were voiced by famous voice actors, and I think that could make a good future video idea, as well as obscure mascots [like the aforementioned Jack In The Box Bunch, but also Rice Honey Cereal's Buffalo Bee, The Frito Kid, Domino's Pizza Donny Domino, and The California Raisins].

The only pie McDonald's has ever served that I actually enjoyed was the time they did an Oreo pie with a chocolate crust and a cream filling. Turns out you need a shelf-stable dessert to make your premade pies delicious. Who knew?

I actually liked the Grimace Shake and was saddened when they eventually stopped serving it, though here’s hoping Mickey D’s brings it back even after TikTok inadvertently made it cringey like they do everything else that they realize is popular before getting their grubby little mitts all over it.

I've been focusing on eating healthier, and I've found a while back that when one cuts down on butter, salt, and sugar, the ability to taste those things becomes much stronger. As a result, a number of unhealthier items don't taste as good, and healthier items have much better and richer tastes. One of my favorite items now is slow-cooked oatmeal with almond butter and cinnamon. If you have concerns about preparation time, just prepare a bunch of oatmeal at once, store it, and just take small amounts out later.

I've been trying to be healthier but it's been a struggle I'm a sweet tooth i could never truly give up on sweets (i don't want sweets all the time but i also can't stand the bitter bland taste and don't enjoy cooking/eating/figuring out what to eat I'm usually limited on junk but i guess lately i struggle to find a balance i guess i was so deprived of outside stuff and want to be able to enjoy having these things when i can healthy or otherwise) idk it's just so much pressure feeling the need to have to be perfect about these things, but i do wish they could stop putting so much sugar/dyes in everything it doesn't need to be that much i wish they could regulate it better like other countries

@@shadow4040 There are healthier alternatives to sugar, and sugar can have a literally addictive quality to it, so I recommend finding a good alternative as your body adjusts to consuming less sugar, and your taste buds should be able to taste sweetness better over time.

I don't really get why the Grimace Shake is on this list. It wasn't cancelled, as it was always intended to be a limited-time item. Personally, I really liked the Grimace Shake. The berry flavor was really good and complimented the milkshake pretty well.

Choco Tacos were amazing, but only if they were new. If you got an old one, the waffle taco would be chewy and not crunchy. Makes sense since the waffle taco would be absorbing the moisture from the ice cream. I think you would have liked it.

There was an amazingly decadent dessert from a local coffee shop that no longer exists in a town in England, where it was a Cupcake Sundae - you picked a cupcake, and they took it out, cut it into quarters, and put it in a tall glass with vanilla ice cream. It was SO insanely filling and naturally terrible for you.
