Christian media is just inherently awful (except early VeggieTales and VERY few other things) it's made with the idea of "ah they're Christians as long as it has anything to do with the Bible or Jesus they'll buy it" unlike VeggieTales that was actually made with care at one point to where even non Christians can enjoy it

From what Saberspark and Papa Meat have said about The Asylum, a big reason they can have a one-man team animating these mockbusters is that they use AI motion tracking to capture the actors' performances. The fact that the cover for their Little Mermaid movie was AI-generated is definitely convincing evidence to such a rumor.

How did a terrible studio like The Asylum got talented actors like Melissa Joan Hart, Ed Asner and some mighty fine voice actors/actresses such as Jessica DiCicco, Phil LaMarr and Maurice LaMarche? And why did they sign to this travesty??

I am a Christian, and I agree, this movie is awful. Stick with something like 3 2 1 Penguins or VeggiTales, where they actually know their audience, gave a crap about their movie and what message it is supposed to convey, stick to their target audience, and have good, creative, and entertaining stories to present their message. Finding Jesus has none of that. Instead of trying to actually teach good Christian values and morals, it tries to cram them down your throat and lecturing about it to you, not allowing its audience the chance to actually internalize or truly learn them (plus the messages the movie uses are pretty generic and lazy anyway, and the film probably got a lot of things wrong, intentionally or unintentionally). The animation is pathetic, the voice-acting atrocious, the character of Mr. Sushi is offensive to both Japanese and fish alike, the plot is nonexistent, the morals are weak and hammered in, and with all its talk about Jesus, it never actually does any real justice to the Savior, His message and teachings, or why He and what He taught and did was so important and significant. The movie isn't subtle about anything, and its depiction of a racially-insensitive character, its forced messages coming across as cultish, and the fact that this movie is a blatant rip-off of Finding Nemo is sending mixed messages contrary to what the scriptures and Jesus Himself actually teaches, so this film fails to even uphold the very beliefs its trying to lecture you about! This film fails as both a good Christian film and a good movie in general, and films like this hurt Christianity more than it helps it.

For those who have a problem to pronunce "Vídeo Brinquedo", it's simple: • Vídeo is pronunced the same way. • In the Nrinquedo part, instead of saying "qua" in the "que" part, try to say "ke" (almost on the same in the same way people say the "que" in "Queso")

Being hispanic, it surprises me I never thought about what word do english speakers have that makes the "que" sound Speakers, make, none make the same "que" sound, its either "krs" or "eik" When "que" is if K had a following letter instead of a silent one. The best I come up with is saying K in Komnenos and the E in the same name, both sound just like it should as a Ke, or Que, for Brin-que-do Or just a random japanese word I guess.

Interesting question! There's a movie I have a DVD of called The Reef, and I think it's a ripoff of Finding Nemo/Shark Tale, but it had a decent, creative story, some funny moments, and some okay voice acting. The animation could have been better, but I digress.

Would A Fish Tale technically count? The American DVD cover makes it look like a Finding Nemo ripoff but in actuality it’s a Danish film called Help! I’m A Fish that’s fairly dark for a kids film

STRIDERRRRR THE WAY YOU EDITED THE TROLLS KILLED ME. The red lighting and omnious ambience cracked me up every time you put it on screen. It looks like it was done on purpose.

ngl Caroline and the Magic Potion reminds me moreso of Mary and the Witch's Flower plot-wise. It does seem similar, where main character gets some kinda magic ability and has to use it to rescue a person taken hostage because the main villain wants the object that causes the ability

I've never seen that Finding Jesus movie and I'll never. But the entire movie feels like ALL CHARACTERS are in a brainwashed-trance. The way they talk, the non stop talk about Jesus and even the cold dead expanded pupils in their eyes give the idea of a Get Out situation going on. I'm hoping for a character with normal dialogue and expresive design to show up reacting to everyone being weird and getting in a quest for breaking the trance they're in.

Wow I remember that very first animated rip-off video! I watched your videos a lot until several years ago, and then I rediscovered your channel a couple months back. Glad to see you're still doing content Strider!

Clever choice of music at the beginning, the instrumental version of Be Your Own You from The Amazing World Of Gumball's The Copycat which by the way, one of my favorite Gumball episodes. It fits, as the creators of these mockbusters need to learn more than a lesson about not shamelessly copying others.

I have two comments on Homebound since it interested me the most: 1. The animation is definitely charming, for lack of better terms. It reminds me a bit of early Dreamworks with the uncanniness of Monster House. 2. The way Strider described the plot, it really just sounds like a PG version of Mice and Men...

i've been watching ur channel since u posted the original "worst mockbusters" and ur channel has been a big comfort for me for all that time 🖤 glad to see ur going back go these kinds of videos. great work as always!

I would love to see you tackle asylum's live action movies. By no I think everyone's heard of sharknado, but that's their BEST movie. they've also done god awful abominations of Dracula where he's not even in the movie (points to that one at least, when we do see him in a twist they got the team from Buffy to make his monster design. the only good scene of the movie), a sherlock homes movie that ends with him fighting a robot dragon that looks so bad 80ies doctor who is laughing at it, a ripoff of I am legend, transmorphars, and many many more.

I don’t know about you guys, but a part of me feels like these mockbusters are more unpredictable than most other animated films this days. But I’ll always take the originals over these any day. Also, this is the first video of yours that I watched in Mexico.

And this is why I find the plot for the Rescue Rangers movie hilarious. XD Some of those fosh do look funny, but that sushi character puts the fear of life into me.

There actually ARE green Eels. You could even argue green like kelp is camouflage. I am not convinced those are actual fish however.

1:26 damn, the asylum's got range. i've seen a few of their movies because it feels like there's at least one airing every weekend on unimás, a spanish-language broadcast channel in the US. and yes, they're all clunkers… though they do seem to have their favorite editing techniques/presets for live-action films.

Honestly, I don't know if it would be on this list but I do have a lot of Fondness for the rip-off movie, The Reef. It's Cheesy, Dumb, and obvious of what it's ripping off but I can't help but love it. I grew with it and I genuinely have fun watching it every time.

Oh yeah I remember Homeward Bound, the other movie for the book was made and released around the same time so yeah we had The Incredible Journey which did not have the animals talking to each other and Homeward Bound, the Disney produced movie

Honestly, I think the homeward film should be a lot better received than it is. Apart from the fact that it was animated by a single guy, it really seemed like one of the more original productions on this list. I have major respect for the guy who carried that entire production.

Video Brinquedo is basically infamous for these. Especially since they had no standards for animation quality or storytelling.

Nice job as always Josh. You know. There was a rip off I remember watching that isn’t on the list but I might as well share it anyway. There was a Finding Nemo about Turtles instead of fish. I was 7 when I watched it and thankfully I was a good kid because I hated the movie. It was just terrible and I could instantly tell what a ripoff it was

Finding Jesus feels like a parody. Like, something that would be on Moral Orel as the town's local-made censorship of Finding Nemo. Probably because the studio isn't actually that religious, and just wanted to capitalize on a Christian audience, but you know.

Bruh, I feel my faith was severely insulted... by that last movie, ugh! I was nonstop laughing at your remarks, tho, thanks for making these schlockbusters more bearable! I do have to wonder if the reason that Trollz movie had two names was because the name "Trollz" was already taken for that one cartoon.
