    By watching the people in my life I've learned that emotional intelligence and analytical intelligence should always be carefully balanced. Whenever one catagory of intelligence out weighs the other the rest are left unchecked and the ego replaces them. Maintaining a balanced and opened mindset is the ideal way to approach life

    Great collection of qualities that make up an emotionally intelligent person! Sadly, I don't think I've ever met anyone who possessed all those qualities. In general, having an optimistic outlook, a belief in yourself based on actual accomplishments and rational and realistic thoughts that dispute a distorted and exaggerated negative mindset are pretty good qualities and probably all most people need.

    Keith Anderson from my 6 years experience of work at airport where i work with more than 4000 people i find it 100% true, someone might be extra smart but emotionally stupid which will effect all the surrounding negatively. Someone might be the highest at productivity, but treat his coworkers in a not nice way which will decrease their overall productivity, that person is a cancer at work and must be out in order to succeed, what the guy is said is 110% true in my opinion and i have personally suffered greatly because of those “cancer at work”

  • @mamindhive

    @mamindhive

    4 жыл бұрын

    Keith Anderson yeah, your way of looking down on people who dont have the highest IQs prove that you got big Emotional Intelligence problems. Good luck in running a company, or working with teammates, your arrogance will be your failure. And btw, remember Einsteins quote about curiosity? Yeah he never had the highest iq in his life, there are literally thousands of scientists who had higher iqs, but he had better emotional intelligence, and he achieved and discovered better than them all.

  • 4 жыл бұрын

    @@mamindhive how else am I supposed to look at short people besides looking down? Curiosity is an aspect of creativity also known as trait openness in which I score very high. After IQ, creativity has a massive effect on success. I run four businesses so it seems you don't know what you are talking about. One of the businesses I run does consulting. I get respect from clients quickly because of high extraversion combined with a straightforward and very blunt but effective delivery. That comes from extremely low agreeableness, namely in the aspect of politeness. Hence me having no issue calling a spade a spade in regards to IQ and so called EQ. It also helps being quite low in neuroticism so I don't care much what others think. If I had to identify a weakness it would be low conscientiousness. Not very industrious about getting things done. More the big picture type. Strategic thinking is my bailiwick. The IQ and Openness intersection I mentioned. Perhaps you should offer a counter argument to my claims instead of reassuring yourself by imagining my likelihood of success. But that requires IQ, not feel good EQ nonsense. Stick to throwing bags at the airport. The airport designed by high IQ people. With tons of planes designed and engineered by high IQ people. That rely on radar and other tech also designed by high IQ people. You mentioned Einstein, quite a high IQ. I'd wager his EQ score was actually quite low. He had low self awareness and often had disregard for the feelings and even actions of those around him. Not sure you could have picked a more terrible example. Note, low IQ doesn't make you a bad person, but it is a big indication of potential success. Same with height and basketball. Stating reality and facts is not "looking down on" anyone.
