7 Psychological Superpowers Few People Have (That You Can Use to Set Yourself Apart)

I’ve said this many times. From the perspective of the universe, you’re dead. Clutching on the steering wheel of life gives you the illusion you have control. You don’t, really. Just live.

This makes so much sense. In previous jobs I got into it with my boss many times because she was doing things incorrectly and I always showed her up. Now that I no longer work there and I’ve stepped away I’ve had time to realize I never gained anything but a negative relationship. I have grown so much from this and actually had time to work and expand on my music because I no longer focused so much on that job!!

I stopped consuming any media recently because all of it, no matter which side of the political spectrum is biased and only serves to warp your perspective on the world and cause stress over things you have no control over. Its cliche but you can't even think to change the world without mastering yourself first.

Motive is a primary driver. When one corrects another with the motive of teaching and helping someone be better, then that energy comes across. But when someone 'corrects' another with the motive of showing off, it comes off as petty. Wise teachers are humble, know-it-alls are petty and shallow. And therein lies the work to be done. I can accept or reject, in part or in whole, the histrionics of the contemporary groupthink. That is, and will always remain, to be my choice. When our main desire and goal is to be helpful and as loving as we can be, the reality that knowledge conpliments becomes clear. This eliminates petty nit-picking. Thank you for your efforts

I embodied many of these behaviors, or rather the negative aspects of these. I thought that i was smart enough to control all these things and that i was doing the right thing by doing so. But it affected my world view and my relationships with others. It wasn't until my last romantic relationship ended that I had a motivation to understand my behavior. I lost a great person because of my own actions. I was my own obstacle in that relationship. I thought that by projecting myself a certain way, it was how others wanted to see me. I was blind to the fact that I was coming off as arrogant and self-centered to those around me. Once I realized these behaviors and made efforts to improve myself and disregard what people think about me, the sense of freedom is incredible. I hope someone realizes they can improve in some way and that it makes their life better.

Not outshining the boss has not really worked for me. I intentionally hold back my talents in a effort to make others around me look better/to get their shine. But no matter what these people always become arrogant and begin to belittle me at every opportunity. It doesn’t feel good. So I don’t know about that. People are always going to feel inadequate.

Sorry to hear that brother. But one major thing in that is to not look dumb, but to be in the control of your surroundings. It's about peoples egos, i think. It is happy when things go according to your "narrative" or your belief system. Ego usually hurts, i think, because the events are not "acceptable" for you anymore. This is what we have to exploit. We should be able to hold the situation/narrative in our control by being able to keep the other person's or group's ego happy. And this is not easy. You have to have some amount of that smart and cunning mofo in us and even though most of us have it, we don't know how to do it. But we don't realize that most of the people whom we consider a dumb person or insignificant person, is actually doing it. It's about survival at the end. And this video says, and I agree that our life in the grand scheme of things is insignificant. There is no value we have added or will be able to add ever to this grand universe. And yet, everyone sees the universe keeping them in the center of it. How foolish, right? :) But we still do it because our ego doesn't like to accept that we are insignificant in the grander scheme of things. We want to feel significant. Our ego wants to feel good by feeling significant. This is what this video is talking about, it is to be in control of the situation, it is wise to someone else feel important or significant. Let the dumb mofo think they are the center of the universe and use it to.your advantage. Take time and think what you would achieve if you do that. Think over and over again. Play the scenarios. Humans are dumb and very predictive. This way you don't react instinctively when things happen in real life, but you act. You are prepared. You learn and adapt and act and improve. It doesnt mean you would let the world bully you. No. No fucking way brother. In the grander scheme of things, our life doesn't matter at all. We are here because of something that started long back and we don't know how and why, even today. And today is mid year 2021. So rather than being played by others in our life and making us feel like a loser, we should play the very game and manipulate the situations for our convenience, and you do it by exploiting the weakness of the opposition. The sheer dumbness of humanity. This way, even if you lose, you know why you lost that game and play the next one better. Life is not one game of confusing and complicated chess, brother. It is like a never ending exciting tournament of chess and we can keep getting to the next level, as long as we can cross the current level. You lose, but you learn, improve, adapt and play again till you win. To win, it is very important not just to know the opponent's weakness, but also their strengths. Winning is bit easier when we know what our own strengths are and if we can use it. Winning is mostly in your control, when you know your weakness and you accept it. This way you keep your ego near where it should be and every win will make it feel good. And you feel good. After all ond the thing that is unique About humanity and differentiates us from other living species is our lust to keep our ego happy. It is ok to have a weakness, but use it for your advantage. This is all easier said than done. There might be different ways to win, but the philosophy behind it is always the same. It doesn't feel good when the game is not going how we like it and you are not in control. Play the game. That is what this video should have been titled actually 😉

Sometimes some people want to have intelligent conversation and talk about things they don't fully understand with others, but I realize that most people prefer to gossip than to engage in useful discussion and can easily become intimidated and jealous of your level of intelligence. I think the solution to this to share your great ideas anonymously through social media,,l like this KZread video we just watched; he did not show his face but he is creating a positive impact in the world. It is preferably you discusses your grand ideas, concepts and theories with your family and write books, articles and blogs to share your ideas and improve the life of others. I believe this is the intention of most intelligent and smart people; they try to give out beneficial knowledge, but some people become jealous and go about labelling them as showoffs and being a know it all behind their backs, instead of being grateful to them for sharing useful knowledge about important issues.

I don't agree with the first point, people don't like being corrected because it hurts their ego while inflating yours, it shows disrespect if not done correctly. Appearing smart and successful is essential if you wanna attract opportunities your way, people won't trust you with important jobs if they think you are not smart and competent.

Atoms as a concept (a-tomos, something uncuttable, indivisible) have existed and talked about since Ancient Indian and Greek times. That's why this already established name was given to the thing discovered much later in physics. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atomism Yes, this word (ἀτόμοις) was used by Marcus Aurelius in Koine Greek in his book of Meditations written in 167 AD (it's from book 8, chapter 17 to be specific).

I love your videos but the amount of commercials is getting ridiculous. I got at least 6 during that 12 minute video that were more than a minute long.

I have a particular angle on your saying that the big picture doesn't really affect the individual I've been telling people for years that I come from the very lowest levels of poverty like braised on welfare and I currently still get medical help because I can't afford insurance by any means paycheck-to-paycheck whoever the president is doesn't affect us whatsoever nothing in government truly affects us the biggest change or effect we've had due to a something a president has done was all the homeless people not have phones thanks to Obama's phone program you can't even tell one present from the next or timeframe from the next and lowest of low-income neighborhoods

Right don't watch the news. Don't be an informed citizen. There are some contradictions in what is presented. Who is this guy? Much of the advice is absolute. Sometimes you need to show how smart you are and some times you need to hold back. What is need is wisdom. You need to be a well informed person for your own sake. However, you can't let the problems of the world destroy you. It is within our own self-interest to be concerned for the other.

It is not arrogance. God did create the world for us. We are, in fact, the center of His creation (aka The Universe...plus). Actually, it was rather arrogant of you to say it is arrogant to say we are the center of the universe. It is arrogant of you to contradict your creator.
