Google location services make me angry! The first time I received a report of every place I had been in the last 2 weeks and it was the last! now they get nothing…nothing at all!

I don't believe google or Facebook turn off anything if you don't want their date collection they do it anyway

They still collect data, but if you turn off targeted ads, it no longer uses that data for targeted ads. It's better than nothing however. Citation: "We provide personal information to our affiliates and other trusted businesses or persons to process it for us, based on our instructions and in compliance with our Privacy Policy and any other appropriate confidentiality and security measures. For example, we use service providers to help us with customer support."" "Does the service allow third-party access to private personal data? " "Yes" "Does the service collect personal data from third parties?" "Yes" When it comes to ads, the tech companies that bid on ad space then get access to your data through advertising, and its Google's way of selling your data while being able to say they don't sell your data, since it's not directly selling, by instead letting advertising companies and tech companies bid for ad space which collects your data. This data is then collected and sold to data brokers who then sell it to anyone who wants it (and I literally mean anyone). If you use Google services without a private browser, blocked cross site tracking, adBlock, VPN, private DNS, custom OS (for phone), then your data is openly at risk whether you turn on/off privacy settings with Google or not. I recommend Brave or LibreWolf, uBlockOrigin, Mulvad VPN, NextDNS, GrapheneOS. Search into these individually. If you want more options, or just want to get rid of Google entirely, look into Proton Mail/Calendar/Drive/Pass and other Proton services, as well as TechLore, Privacy Tools, Privacy Spy, Privacy Tests, and for FOSS products, use AlternativeTo to find free open source software, like LibreOffice for example which handles all Office365 needs with free software.

one reason i stopped using FAKEBOOK. or i use a fake name.who are they, to tell me what name i have to use? we don't have their information.. where they live their cell phones or address, to their 5 million dollar homes!! and fakebook keeps getting hacked anyway. i had mine hacked 3 times... what's the point. u cant even get the proper help!!! greedy men.

I cancelled facebook and they said they were keeping my info so anytime I log in my info would still be there.

None matters ,turn off your phone and never use it again and that's how Google can't see what ur doing ,lol.

Yes they will always get the information they want even if it's from a different app or a game from the play store you download it's all linked together. Sharing of information settings of phone Wi-Fi what's on there?

Excellent education for all of us. I am a 61-year-old woman and this was great for me to be able to make everything private. And as for your data being b big companies, it’s not. My data was breached both at my bank and at the hospital not to mention databases like Experian that got breached.

No matter what you do to de-google your device, the company STILL collects data.

unless you install an operating system like GrapheneOS, CalyxOS, LineageOS etc... or even just vanilla (meaning plain - ungoogled) Android. that's the main reason I use Android not iPhone; Apple won't let me install any OS I want on a phone that I paid for!

@@davidletarte214 Plain Android is the way to go. But we must not install any Google app such as maps or mail. And we can't use the Play Store and Google Services. Once that has been installed, it replaces the neutral Android geolocation system and certain drivers with the Google ones, and then it's done: You are back to square one.

Or, are you suggesting that people not use their devices at all if they're concerned about their privacy? You made a true statement, but you didn't use it to support a conclusion so... I'm asking: what conclusion do you want other people to understand from your statement?

I turn things off and a couple of weeks later they will be back on again. I feel like I'm constantly fighting with my phone :/

Played a DVD that I own. After, all my ads and KZread feed were filled with news and merchandise ads and actor interviews for the movie I just watched. I figured out they must be listening to me so I turned off access to my mic

Enhanced safe browsing - when you turn it on, it's like you're erasing the effect of the privacy optimizations in the first part of the video. Enhanced browsing shares even files from your download folder (among other things).

I tried switching off, but turned it back on. Apparently I trained google algorithm I like very very short ad videos. When receiving more generic ads I got enormous long ones.

So I tried to post the screenshot of KZread message I get when I tap on my KZread icon now, after I turned off my watch history but idk wtf I'm doing, it's frustrating trying to keep all of these nosy invasive punks from profiting on my business. I have to go to the video of yours I sent to a friend to have any access to KZread now unless I turn my watch history back on, I hope they have a very long time to wait cause that won't happen EVER! I hate bullys. They can kiss my ***! Thank you for the Intel.

I turned everything off except for one KZread setting. I had most of it turned off, but it's good to go in there every now and thing and turn stuff on/off depending on your preferences.

Control the ability of pregnant women to travel, yep, absolutely can confirm - when my wife was pregnant with our daughter, I distinctly remember her being arrested by Republican Party Security Agents and interred in a Republican Supermax Facility so she would be unable to terminate her pregnancy, while simultaneously being prevented from seeking prenatal care (which Republicans hate for, you know, obvious reasons) that would increase the chances our daughter or my wife would die during her pregnancy.

It's just layer upon layer of breaches of personal privacy. Just when you think you have deactivated, another app, setting, network or site is monitoring everything you do. Total electronic surveillance will end up becoming totally unavoidable.

WARNING! After I followed all of these suggestions, all Google related apps and services on my iPhone, Mac, and Roku TV either stopped working or were working poorly. Same here. I've turned off some of these settings and they get reversed to default over time. It's a losing game.

Google audio heard what you say and analyze words some apps analized without your know and turn on at your activity example when you talk with someone. Thats why adds change on compared to your conversation theme. At some moment you can find only basic info on google but google take many info about you and show it for anyone

My KZread history settings have always been on pause or off. I just don't like their their new Home settings appearing empty. No videos at all. So I just log off. I will only log in if there's a specific video I'd like to save or videos in my watch later list.

Now unless I'm doing something incorrectly, when i turn off my watch history I cannot watch anything. I grt a message saying watch history turned of. Lol

How do I get rid of Google Assistant. I've disabled it, but I still get the nagging "turn on assistant" crap. I disabled it for a reason.

I will absolutely see low quality ads if I turn off personalized ads. Please reply - My phone is rooted, and I didn't sign into any Google account (yes, it is possible in present Android devices). I removed inbuilt Google apps, except Play Store and Play services, by USB debugging with command prompt. I disabled Play Stores app. Using alternative email service providers, alternative sites to download apps and Duckduckgo as search engine. (Only logged into Google on my desktop for KZread videos). Will Google still track my activities and location movements without using a Google account?

This ultrawifipro ad is an example. The one that appeared before the video.

Is there anything more that needs to be done if you have a Google Pixel phone??
