Poison slaps, but BBD does not get props for their KILLER SLOW JAMS!! 'When will I see you smile again' and 'Something in your eyes' ARE ALWAYS ON ROTATION. With the success of New Edition, it is amazing that they produced BBD, and we didn't even start talking about Bobby, Johnny...🔥🔥

Think about this. Bell Biv Devoe's success and style was the precursor to Jodeci. The raw sound, and outfits set the stage for Jodeci to storm the scene and they took the baton and run to the next level.
@fendibabii2118

That's very true because Bell Biv Devoe started the fashion that groups like Jodeci and Jagged edge continued.

I was in 8th grade when Poison dropped. Poison had those Saturday night dances at the youth center bumping! Man those were the good old days! Kids these days just don't know how much fun we had back in the day, and the dope hip hop and R&B music we grew up listening to.

My Poison story.. I’m an NE4LIFE fan since 1983. I went to Norfolk State University in the fall of 1990, hit my dorm room and turned on the radio. I was listening so confused and was like yo.. this record is fire 🔥 who is this? I heard them shoutout Bobby Ralph and Johnny and lost my shit when I said is this Rickey, Ron and Mike? I couldn’t believe that they came so hard with Poison! Over 30 years later.. we know the rest! 💪🏽💯👊🏽🔥

Mike really big up his brothers. Got to love em. One of the coolest in the game.
I was 11 years old in 1990, and Poison by far was the most incredible song that year!
I love the journey Mike takes us on about BBD and NE. What an engaging conversationalist. Love it!
The most anticipated record of my lifetime hearing every DJ start every show with we don’t have the record yet!!! Phone lines blowing up!! Requesting Poison!!!

BBD was the true first R&B/Hip successful crossover. That time was awesome for N.E. everyone was successful
That was my first commercial arts gig working with Shirt King Phade. Those were some great times.
Micheal Bivins is a Class Act 👏🏽
BBD Johnny Gill & KEITH SWEAT Oakland Coliseum 1991 was lit.
Daaaamn Mike took me back when he said Roger's Park. I played my middle school girls basketball championship game at Rogers Park. My moms drove my dad's truck and picked up all my cousins from Compton and Watts to come see me WIN. Yeah we beat Crozier for the championship.. Rogers Park is where some of the best ball players Inglewood play pick up games. Mad memories, thanks Math ✨. I'm now 48 in 2 months.. Good times💃..I will never forget the 25¢ lunchtime dances at Monroe Junior high, and all they played was Bobby Brown, and BBD..
This was one of the BEST interviews yo! When artist did some REAL groundwork. Salute!
AMAZING!! I wish math would ask how did they manage to not get caught up in the typical industry scandals. Of course not Bobby but the other members lol.
Loves this. Just shows you never know till you know and when you know nothing can stop you! Big ups to Big Ron Devoe 👏🏾

Big NE fan. I lived way out in the country and we just got cable. A channel called Movie Time was pivoting into doing more than movie trailer previews, later they became E! Entertainment TV. One of the first songs they rolled out with was BBD's Poison. That video set it off🔥

I think I recorded the “Poison” video on VHS when it premiered on Video Soul on BET
Before I played the video I said, “he had to be talking about Poison.” 😀
When 'Posion' hit it was a like sonic tidal wave. The video, the drip, the swag was on 1,000,000. Then they had the dancers. I was just getting into middle school but even that young, I knew it was some next level shit.
