Because he wants to see her suffer as she realizes all she could have done and helped achieve, but never got to. The dude gets off on suffering.

@blechb5317 seem like he'd get off on all the suffering she didn't prevent. Also seems kinda petty for a being like him to be concerned with a normal human and not a super being that he considers a worthy opponent. This just makes him written as a cartoonish villain.

These stories of Thanos spending time and effort tormenting singular humans, is the dumbest shit to have ever hit comics. 🤷
