Omg no I was nervous when I took a one way to France. But don’t let that discourage you. I literally had the same thing happen my phone service did not work. And I almost cried but it turned out to be the best thing I ever done.

OfficialMonroeBrooKe the exact thing happened to me when I went to Madrid on my own. I had no phone service for 2 days. The shock of realising you’re doing something by yourself is the biggest hurdle to overcome Once you arrive in a new county alone

Oh let me tell you, this whole vlog made me laugh so hard because it brought back so many memories. Idk if this is tour first time traveling solo but what happened in this vlog, these will be the memories that you look back on fondly later on and even laugh about greatly. They're terrible in the moment because so much is going on, so many new things, fear and excitement and you have to face it all alone. I remember my first trip alone was a volunteer program in morocco for 2 months and I was staying with a host family and at the center I would be volunteering at there was Wi-Fi and I got to message my parents for a little but then I went home with my host family after meeting them and their Wi-Fi was down for the night and they were gonns get it fixed the next day. Wow that night was torture. I was with a family I didnt know at all, despite how nice they were, I missed my parents. They didnt know I wouldn't be able to communicate for the rest of the night. I felt so alone and I just pretended to go to sleep so I cpuld bawl my eyes out. My anxiety was oover the roof and I was contemplating an escape plan to go back home and just say I couldn't gothrough with the rest of the trip. It was all so overwhelming because it happened all at once and I think I actually had an anxiety attack that night. But then came a new day and Things were way better and that trip changed my life and I have a family in morocco for the rest of my life. There was also a time in Milan where I had a sobbing breakdown at a bus stop bench because not only had I missed my train from Verona to Milan the night before (money lost) but once I arrived to my hostel in Milan the next morning they weren't able to find my reservation. Turns out I had set it for the wrong date. So I had to struggle to find another hostel and it ended up being super far away from that hostel. I tried to take a bus there but buses are always super confusing to me so I couldn't figure out where to get off and I ended up at the last stop of the bus and I just got off and immediately started sobbing because I was tired, and scared I wouldn't find my hostel by night time and so many fails had happened that day, but I made it to my hostel and everything turned out okay and I can't tell you how much I miss all those things because that's part of what makes traveling so exciting in a twisted way lol. Another solo traveler I met in Venice said that something people don't realize about traveling alone is that the highs feel higher and the lows feel lower. Have a great time. Tjere will be shitty days when you just wanna go home but there will be days where there's no where else you'd rather be and those will be worth everything. ❤

So crazy, I had such a similar experience about a month ago in bangkok. I cried because everything kept going wrong and I really thought I had grown enough personally to travel alone but it turned out I was NOT ready hahah. All I could tell myself is that that is part of live and all I can learn is that I am not yet where I want to be and still have a lot of growing to do... also, those guys that started talking in the background are dutch (so am i) and I was shocked at how many dutch people I met in Thailand and Indonesia... Hope you managed to make the most of your time there and love seeing new stuff from you...

I find that having steady list of plans while traveling alone creates a feeling where you stay busy taking in all these new things you feel less alone and uncomfortable.
