Se necesita dinero para vivir, sin el, no tienes calidad de vida. Muchos de esos extranjeros o son mantenidos por sus padres o generan ingresos en sus paises, sobre todo los americanos. Con un salario de $4000 al mes estandar en EEUU se vive genial en España. La calidad de vida española buena la disfrutan los extranjeros, la mayoría de españoles les cuesta llegar a final de mes

@@miguelteixeira9173 Sin dinero no tienes calidad de vida. Pero el problema es ganar mucho dinero a costa de tu calidad de vida. No ver a tus hijos, vivir con ansiedad, en una zona insalubre debido a la contaminación, o sufrir de estrés son cosas que puedes sufrir ganando mucho dinero. Nos han convencido de que la clave de tener calidad de vida es ganar cuanto más mejor, y eso depende. Conozco a mucha gente con salarios modestos que tienen mucha mejor calidad de vida que gente que ha hecho el trabajo el centro de su vida con buenos salarios, pero que no sabe ni lo que le gusta a sus hijos porque se han perdido su infancia, y se han quedado sin amigos, porque sólo hay tiempo para tus jefes o clientes. Esto está muy arraigado en la cultura de EEUU, hasta tal punto que disfrutar de una comida sentado, pasear, o cogerse 3 semanas de vacaciones les parece perder el tiempo.

Spain is a wonderful place for me. I bought a house in a small town and it brings me so much peace when I am there. It's away from all the stress in the US and my job there. I can't wait until summer when I get to stay for an extended period of time. In retirement, it will be so great. When I'm there, I feel so much healthier. No pains, no stress. Awesome, sweet people in the village, too.

I lived in Madrid for two years in my 20’s. Sent with a grant from university in Belfast to study there one year I stayed another year and had the best time ever! Night life amazing, cosmopolitan vibe and meeting people from all over the world, the feeling that anything goes and you can just be yourself, the fooooood (a great education in itself!), the friendliness of the Spanish people, friendships formed for life etc etc A brilliant eye opening experience. I❤Madrid.

Voy a España todos los años y más de una vez por año, he visitado muchas ciudades y siento que España es mi segundo hogar que espero se convierta en mi primer hogar. He visitado muchísimos países y puedo decir que no hay nada como España. El español, la vida social, las personas, la comida, horarios más flexibles para comer, todo es muy diferente. Me siento más yo en España. Portugal no tiene tanta vida. Sólo quiero aprender español lo más perfectamente posible y poder irme a vivir a España, me acabo de graduar y quiero trabajar y vivir en España. No por el dinero, que no hará mucha diferencia, sino por la CALIDAD de vida. Y quiero agradecer a los españoles por recibirme siempre tan bien en todas las ciudades que he visitado.

As a spaniard living in Barcelona is so sad when I see Americans saying that life in America is so stressful and very focus on study and promoting. It literally comes to my mind that they don't have free healthcare and if they don't work they literally can die...

In addition to all the other great things about Spain I think safety is an important one. For example, there were 2x more murders in the city of Chicago (with population of 3 million people) alone than the entire country of Spain (population of 48 million people) last year

I'm Spanish and I don't get this feeling at least in relation with the rest of Europe, in Spain I won't say it's safe to walk alone in the street at night ( in Barcelona where I'm from) Unlike Austria for example where it's totally safe basically

They feel at ease and happy because they are living and fulfilling an opportunity and they have chosen to be in Spain, same as when I moved to Belgium (Liège) to spend three years there. Also, they live in the city centre in the nicest, most central, historical parts of the city. Ask someone who is born and raised in Spain but has always lived in Villaverde or Vallecas if they feel the same about living in Spain

I have lived in the UK for 8 years now, I can speak fluently and I'm very familiarised with the people here, but I also lived in Spain for 7 years and I would 100% rather live in Spain than England for so many reasons such as people, lifestyle, weather and food. I have lots of English friends who want to leave the UK and move to somewhere like Spain.

@@XY_ESP Como todo, depende de con quién compares. Personalmente, basado en mis experiencias, Italia, Portugal y Grecia son las naciones más parecidas a España. He trabajado intensamente y formado equipos multiculturales con gente de toda Europa (y alguna de fuera), muchos de ellos son ahora amigos, así que tengo muestra para comparar (no hace falta ser muy listo para saber dónde trabajo 😂). En Italia incluso he vivido. De todas las naciones, la que tiene gente más parecida a España (sorprendentemente, porque no me lo esperaba para nada) es Grecia, tanto en personalidad como en forma de ver la vida. Trabajar con gente griega o socializar con ellos es practicamente idéntico a hacerlo con españoles. Incluso, fisicamente tienen esa mezcla de rasgos europeos con un punto árabe. Como diferencia diría que tienen un puntito más excéntrico (sobre todo ellos), pero encajamos al 100%. Los italianos tienen una forma más clasista, conservadora (o retrógrada) y chanchullera (por qué no decirlo) de ver la vida, pero tienen una personalidad muy parecida a la nuestra (aunque más histriónica) y nos apreciamos y respetamos bastante (lo que no es fácil porque los italianos no suelen respetar culturalmente a casi nadie). Los portugueses, sin embargo, ven la vida de manera casi idéntica a nosotros y tienen valores muy parecidos, pero una personalidad bastante distinta 🤷🏼‍♀️ Latinoamérica, la cual conozco bastante por razones personales más que profesionales, es otro mundo tanto en personalidad como en valores. Tenemos una historia, idioma y muchas costumbres parecidas y de ahí podemos tirar para encajar, pero somos mundos distintos. Curiosamente, de Europa, de las mejores experiencias profesionales que he tenido ha sido trabajando mano a mano con alemanes (sin jerarquía). Vemos la vida de manera tan distinta que somos super complementarios. Como el ying y el yang.

A lo mejor lo que extraña es que lleve más cosas. Aquí la mantequilla de cacahuete (que es una cosa no tradicional, pero como somos taaan paletos enseguida aceptamos cualquier mier... con tal que venga de fuera) suele venderse en la versión "sana", o sea, cien por cien mantequilla de cacahuete, sin azúcar ni nada más.

Imagínate a un alemán diciendo lo mismo sobre el jamón ibérico... que obviamente esta mil veces mejor el jamón que la crema de cacahuete, no comparo los alimentos, pero eso es cosa aparte. Si los primeros colonizadores que llegaron a América hubiesen tenido la misma mentalidad que tú, ni las patatas, ni los tomates ni el maíz, entre otros cientos de alimentos más, hubiesen llegado a Europa.

I totallly agree moving to Madrid was my best move. I love Belgium my coutry and also London but Madrid has everything and If have to go to London or NYc then you have the airport just a few metro station where I live. The quality of life in Madrid is amazing.

Im Filipino and currently living the UK. Travelled around Europe and Spain is probably the best European country for me. I just love it over there. 🇪🇸

I move to Madrid this year for studies and that's a really cool city, muy agradable. I'm from Paris and that's incredible too how this city is really safe compare to Paris 😂

Yo viví en España alrededor de un año y es lo que dice otro comentario aquí mismo, los latinos tenemos a Europa romantizado cuando en realidad es un continente muy frío (socialmente hablando en este caso). La manera más fácil de hacer amistades es si estudias algo y los trabajos son en su mayoría mal pagados y con experiencia mínima de dos años en cualquier cosa. La burocracia es lenta y tienen muchos problemas con el tema de viviendas. No voy a decir que la sociedad española es mala porque nadie me trató mal y a diferencia de los demás europeos ellos son más abiertos pero definitivamente no es un país para todo el mundo.

To be fair in the USA although it’s one country. The USA has different versions of ways of life. Where I’m from in the USA it’s fast pace things don’t close early and we have public transportation. Some areas are laid back and slow pace. Most of the USA though you do need a car outside of the northeastern cities and Chicago and maybe Seattle in the west. Also colleges in nyc are more commuter based at least in my experience but I have some limited experience out of state in Florida and that felt more like what I pictured the American college experience to be although both are in the same country.

More and more I am being pulled to Spain. It's part of my lineage. I no longer feel welcomed in the country I grew up and served (US). Was looking at other countries...but spain keeps calling me.

Por motivos de trabajo me fui a Inglaterra hace 9 años. Si, gano un buen sueldo, ya esta. No sabemos lo que tenemos en España. Te lo digo por experiencia. En cuanto pueda, que sera este año, me pillo un avion y vuelvo a casa. Saludos 👋

We do have peanut butter, here we call it crema de cacahuete. I guess she misses a specific type or maybe the taste is different.

We have peanut butter in a lot of places. The most known brand is capitan maní, is quite common.

Love Spain, what to not love, right? The climate, the architecture, the history. What I CAN'T stand in lovely Spain, though, is this: THEY SCREAM instead of just talking. @@whitneyc.3257 por lo que se ve. Y ni hablar de lo difícil que puede resultar para algún investigador o académico de cualquier área hablar de alguna idea que no sea aceptada en el mundo académico. En cierto sentido es como una religión.

Qué triste que se tenga que buscar a gente extranjera para escuchar oir hablar bien de España😢. Un reto haga la misma entrevista pero con españoles, las mismas preguntas, entonces empezará a conocer España. 😢.

También estaría menos deprimida si viviera en un país que no hubiera sido explotado por colonizadores europeos como de España ☺

Si te gusta la vida en ciudad Madrid, pero yo no podría, odio la vida en las ciudades, el estrés, las prisas y la gente que no es tan agradable, yo prefiero un pueblo o una ciudad histórica o pequeña mil veces más, y lo que has dicho de los latinoamericanos es mentira, siempre habrá un viejo cateto racista, pero eso donde vayas, aquí hay gente de todos los lados no somos racistas por lo general.

One of the things Americans should stop doing is referring to their particular home life experience as "in America we do......." If you live in Arizona vs New Orleans, everything about these 2 American life experiences are wildly different in every way. The US is definitely a driving culture, but to say America doesn't have public transit isn't accurate at all. Cities like San Francisco, Chicago, New York, Boston, DC, etc have large percentages of their inhabitants who only use public transit and are completely carless. Next time say "in Texas, we have..." or "in Illinois, we do...." instead. Thanks.
