Living in Thailand helps. The purchasing power is so high with USD. The amount of cash he gets from his vids is HUGE compared to income levels in Thailand. He wud be top 1% in Thailand. He doesn't need sponsors.

Luckily, he can afford being authentic and kind and not flogging any old crap like so many other channels. In fact, it's one of the aspects that make his channel so popular that he has almost 10M (!!!) followers. At that amount, he can monetise each video very, very comfortably (many thousands of $$$ each month!), and therefore doesn't need any extra obvious shilling and sponsoring. Thankfully, he isn't greedy to cash in even more. Great guy, and well deserved fanbase!

@@RedEye3 Insane, right! :-o I think many people don't realise how much can be earned simply because people click on your videos, and even when you're not actually trying to "sell" stuff! Then again, I guess TV show hosts make yet more money than that, and have far less responsibility, not writing or producing their own content etc. So in that sense, it's really super fair and democratic that content creators like him earn well. Because they're literally earning it through real viewing figures, not by taxpayer dollars of state TV networks or whatnot.

Like the dog on the scooter or the buildings that are beautiful. I really appreciate it because I will never be able to travel to the places Mark goes. Mark, love your restaurant selections. You sample a soup say it’s fantastic and not over seasoned, then completely modify it by add enormous amount of seasonings and/or chilies 🌶️ . Perhaps you’d enjoy authentic Sichuan cuisine. In Chengdu they have stores that sell nothing but chilies 🌶️ seriously more chilly dishes than even you can eat.

OMGGG that oyster omelet looks AMAZING!!! They are not cheap on the oysters neither, they put like a dozen of oysters in each omelet. All that for $1.77 US dollars!!!! A dozen oysters in the states cost at least $15.00!!! I love this version because of the beans sprouts and the sauce on the side!

$15 for a dozen is also cheap, in Ireland you'd be looking at about €30/€35 per dozen if not more
