Thai Chicken Noodles (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวไก่) - Thai Street Food Bicycle in Bangkok!
One of my favorite Thai street food noodle dishes is kuay teow gai (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวไก่), Thai chicken noodles. For more Bangkok street food check out: www.eatingthaifood.com/best-re...
Located on Ekkamai Soi 12, which is also known as Soi Charoen Chai, there’s a Thai chicken noodle street food cart, which is set up on a bicycle, that serves up some delicious bowls of chicken noodles. The stall gets very busy, and when I walked up, I had to wait in line for a few minutes to order. I ordered the full option, the special size with an extra piece of chicken and an egg in the mix (ก๋วยเตี๋ยวไก่เส้นเล็กพิเศษเพิ่มไข่). You can then grab some sweet basil and some raw slices of bitter melon, which were hanging from the power pole, and from the neighbors fence.
After getting my bowl of Thai chicken noodles, I sat down at one of the tables, and then garnished with some vinegar, some crushed peanuts, and finally a few scoops of chili flakes for extra flavor and some serious heat. I also like to add a bunch of raw bitter melon to my noodles, and finally top it off with some sweet basil to contrast all the flavors and for a delicious refreshing touch.
The Thai chicken noodles at Kuay Teow Gai Khlang Soi Charoen Chai (ร้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวไก่กลางซอยเจริญใจ) were delicious - my kind of Thai street food - great atmosphere, friendly service, good food. You can find bowls of chicken noodles very similar to this all over Bangkok, but this particular place is right on Ekkamai Soi 12 in Bangkok.

It may sound weird but I prefer watching his vids to traveling & food shows on TV. They're much more relaxing.

That has nothing to do with the video and more about the fact that you are lazy and don't want to click on the next video

THConnoisseur it actually has nothing at all to do with being lazy. People don’t watch TV the way they used to anymore. We have laptops and phones or on our smart TV’s now, we still watch KZread, Netflix, Hulu....it’s just better. Anyway, who tf wants to pay $200 a month for cable?!
I love that noodles...I tried that Way back 1999. My last visit in Bangkok with my father. 😀
Mark, you are becoming a master of turning street foods to be so famous. Your food adventure and introduction really made people feel like going to Thailand right away. Perhaps, I'm Asian and huge fan of soup noodle. Also, your gesture of head tilting while enjoying first bite tasting has been approval signature and becomes your trademark. Keep going. Many fans of yours like your vids and approval signature.

I love the way Mark explains the food. eg. the egg yolk, it was so descriptive ("lf I drop it on the ground it'll probably bounce back"). Love your work Mark.
I just happened to come across Marks video one day , I love to see videos of street food and I just 💘 His way of describing the food and the faces he makes when he eats ! I also love how he includes his wife and now he has a baby. I'm still trying to catch up to his past videos! I don't know how he can eat so much and stay thin ?!? LOL , I wish I could do that ! Ha. Almost 5 years living in Taiwan and having traveled and eaten around Asia the single food that has been my nemesis is bitter melon (苦瓜)! I really can't believe why you would add so much of it to what was a perfectly delicious soup haha respect!
Hi Mark! I love seeing all the different food in Thailand. I also would love to see more of it being made, or maybe even your wife cooking. Best regards :)

This really brings me back, I studied at Ekamai International School, which is just a walking distance from that stall. Used to had the food here every now and then with my dad. He said the shop started as just a small stall (เพิงหมาแหงน) with no seats. It grew and he was able to rent all the wall areas and expand the shop into what it is today. Man, nostalgia from you Mark! Thanks for letting me see that the shop still sells! I do think the owner is the previous owner's son though. ติงลี่ is not there anymore, oh yeah, that's what people called the shop, by it's owner's name Ting Li (ติงลี๋)

Again. Amazing video mark. Congrats.
oh dear, this looks like a very satisfying noodles soup. oh wow.
I hope you can visit a noodle stall just on the corner of River Court Apartments in Sukhumvit 41 .. It was the best tasting noodles I have ever tasted and would always remind me of Thailand, I am from the Philippines and I spent 3 years of my childhood summers in that area. After 11 years I was able to visit Bangkok last April and went to see if the stall still exist and I was so happy it still does, with the same owner who sells and prepares those amazing bowls of noodles. From 15 Baht in 1998 now its 45baht but with the same excellent taste. I'm planning to visit Thailand again next year and that noodle stall is on top of my list.
that looks amazingly delicious
