Others have made the squares larger by adding a few more rounds. I don't know that anyone has tried to make a blanket with on very large square. It may be possible. You might just want to watch out for any shaping issues or you may need to block to keep it perfectly square.

No offense, but everytime I do a pattern from ralvery it just seems like y'all think you're above other crocheters. Like y'all are to good to take the time to show how to do a whole pattern for KZread. Sometimes people don't have the money to spend on patterns or just don't have the skill yet to read them. And some people are here to learn. I apologize for this post, but it just really chaps my hide

Thanks for your comment. I am not sure what I have done to make you upset. I have been crocheting since I was age 3 and taught myself how to read patterns and crochet more complicated stitches with many many years of trial and error. Most of the patterns I had were from crochet magazines I'd get at a garage sale and the yarn I had was donated to me by a much older sister. I did it for the love of it. I hope you enjoy the love of crochet for many years to come. I have been designing and sell my written patterns full time as a work at home Mom for 16 years. I have only gotten into creating some youtube videos (generally to aide those who may need a visual while following a written pattern.) I am a "newbie" to KZread, in a way. I do hope you take advantage of the many free resources on KZread as you continue to learn. Who knows, maybe one day you'll be the teacher or the designer. It does take time and patience, but it's worth it. All the best. xo Lisa
