My grandmother, mother and aunt have tried to teach me how to crochet and failed. I was looking for a hobby that would help me relax and I saw your videos so I gave it a try. I just finished my very first blanket (and second project as a whole), for my mother and she loved it. So first timers bloopers - it's very large. Wish I could include a pic, I'm very proud of it. Thanks so m7ch. Would love a tutorial for a shawl with a lacey look but for beginners like me.

I can’t begin to thank you enough for this amazing tutorial. I was desperate for an affordable hobby to alleviate my anxiety and tried knitting. It was a major fail then I thought crochet might be a good alternative. I have watched many videos and they were difficult to catch up with until I got to this wonderful tutorial. It was easy to follow and it’s been 4 months and I’m so proud to say, I’m a crocheter. But I wanted to stop by to just write a big expression of gratitude because if it hadn’t been for this basket weave, I would’ve given up. Thank you so so much Bella Coco for taking the time to record this and make it accessible to people like myself.

I’ve been working at the same grocery store for the past 33 years. It was about six weeks ago I watched your video of how to make a granny square and I’m currently making one of gold and ivory big enough to fit my queen size bed. Just yesterday a lady and her newborn baby came through my line with a crocheted blanket made with a stitch I’d never seen. She told me that she made it! This morning on my KZread feed I saw the same stitch from this tutorial. A whole new world has opened up for me and I am enjoying every minute of it! :-)

This is where I learn new stitches. I crochet to keep my hands/fingers nimble. I have arthritis and it's imperative to use my hands to keep them healthy. Sometimes, it's just a question of what you want showing up in your feed more than not liking the video itself. Not liking a video means you'll see less content of a similar nature. From what I've seen, only the British use British terminology, the rest of the world uses US terms, so a dislike means they'll see less British, not that they hate the stitch or the video itself. Lol, long-winded explanation, but I hope it helps

Most other tutorials just dive in somewhere in the middle (and show some turbo speed crocheting that just makes me feel lost), but yours explain all steps from the very start in a clear and calm pace. Even for me as a beginner, this made it easy for me to produce some really fancy stitches! Thanks, and keep up the good work.

My mom's friend taught me how to crochet. Now I'm making all sorts of things. My mom taught me how to knit. She's too busy to ever finish anything but I went and found out how to read patterns and new stitches on my own. I love both.

Your tutorials are the best! Your method is slow and repetitive enough that I can remember what to do without pausing at every stitch/pattern variation. Thank you! Just watched a video about knits. They have knitting machines for mass production but they cannot create crochet machines because of the many variations of stitches. Who knew!
