//FAQs??
-How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
-How much yarn do I need?
Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

    This is one of my favorite go-to patterns. I’m actually making an afghan right now, using this pattern. Many call it the Mini-Basketweave stitch.

    Loree...with you actively using this stitch, can you confirm if it is a yarn hungry stitch?

    @@ashadowdncr It’s really not that bad-it’s a little time-consuming, though. But so worth it. I mostly use this pattern for baby/toddler sized blankets because there are no holes for their little fingers to get tangled in. So the bigger the size, the more yarn you’ll need.

    This stitch would make a nice cosy throw or blanket but think it would be quite yarn hungry.

    I'm anxious to give this a try. Maybe a dishcloth or washcloth for a nice sample. My friend likes it when I use acrylic yarn on hers. I'm excited to try this. I have some cotton yarn from Dollar Tree here in the States. I know the acrylic is Premier, but I'm not sure about the cotton. Thanks so much. I pinned this under your name so I know where to find it. 🤗😇

    You're welcome and thank you so much! 😊 I have a blog post with some of my favourite borders here: bellacococrochet.com/my-favourite-crochet-borders/ - I think most of these would look great with the mini basket weave stitch. I work underneath both loops of the turning chain to make it more secure, but if it's too tricky you can just work into one loop.

    How do you mix stitches? I would like to try and strip this with the regular basket weave...is that possible to do like 10 rows and then 5 rows of regular (then repeat?)

    Can I use this pattern in sweater please guide what type of yarn and crochet no

  • @bellacococrochet

    @bellacococrochet

    Жыл бұрын

    Yes absolutely - the type of yarn depends entirely on the look you are trying to achieve 😊 It would be a good idea to try some different types of yarn to make swatches with to see which type you’d like to turn into a sweater.

    How would you decrease using this pattern?

  • @bellacococrochet

    @bellacococrochet

    3 ай бұрын

    To decrease you’d need to work two stitches together in one stitch. I’d recommend doing this at the beginning or end of a row 😊

  • @heklegal

    Why are you making half trebles in the end, and two stitch in the beginning? I have learned that one double crochet is 3 . And the rows are double crochet….Forgive me my bad english. Love from🇳🇴

  • @bellacococrochet

    @bellacococrochet

    Ай бұрын

    In crochet we start our rows with chain stitches to bring us up to the correct height ready to work the next stitches 😊 I'm using UK crochet terminology; a UK treble crochet is equivalent to a US double.
