TET Novice: Reality TV - An hour on the TET Part 3, Downs & Ups & Squiggly lines
Part 3 of this Reality TV series, sees me riding with a little more continuity and covering more ground.
As the title suggests we made several descents and climbs during this section of the route.
The Man in front told me to look for 2 things when assessing a TET track.
1, How squiggly is the track line on the TET route plot… and 2, to look at the density of the topographic contour lines shown on your map. They are a good indicator of the difficulty of the route.
Following the track on Google Earth is also helpful if the route is not covered with forest.

What is it that you have under your fairing/headlight and above the front fender? I presume its a wind buffeting feature, but does it have any major effect?

It is actually my attempt at a mud deflector. I had too much dirty water enter around the light pod in the early days, cleaning was a pain. So I made the plate to limit the water ingress. It has worked and I forget it's there now 😉
