I would really love to see this with resin. I think resin would flow better and take the "fluid" shapes more easily, and with UV resin you wouldn't have the trouble of drying/setting time. Love the content!

For the debate at 25:49 - the nail polish is dry, but it has to be gel/other type of "sticky" nail polish for the powder to stick to it. Like if you run your finger on the nail's surface, it has to feel clean, dry, but a lil bit plastic-like sticky, so the surface doesn't just allow the powder to slide off.

I think seeing some quite a bit thinner could've been cool. I've seen magnetic nail polish and it's thin, but it makes really cool looking lines. So maybe thin on the background with the cool line effects. And then you just do a medium thick mixture just on top of the magnet. That would look very cool I think.

That's a pretty cool effect! When you guys moved the lighting around to showcase the dual chrome pigment better, all I could think off is that a frame that integrates a moving light source could be really cool for this project also. I think it would be pretty cool having something like that both to get the full range of colors while also casting shadows that accentuates the forms you guys achieved with the technique.

Idk if this is the case, but from what i know, shimmer pigments and color shifting pigments show up best in a spotlight or sunlight. I think maybe because youre both diluting the color in the mixture and trying to observe it under diffused filming lights, the duopigments dont show up as well. In powder form, its so concentrated you would see it in most lightings, but when mixed in and diluted, it probably doesnt show up as well unless under color favorable lights. It may partially also be why you could see it better when shining the flashlight over the canvas For the future you could definitely try bringing it out into the sun or using a phone flashlight to observe the colors before adding more pigment c: love yall keep up the good work

I could see using the more subtle technique on the paint to either have a monochrome canvas and then you draw with the magnet from the back to create a very subtle design or image with spikes, or, doing the same thing but with the intent of painting on top of it with regular thinner paint, so you could create textures for grass like you mentioned, or stone or what have you.

5:40 Katelyn said it looks like a meteor hit the ground, i wonder if this could be a cool diorama technique and make an actual meteor hit diorama with that technique lol I wish i could @ some of my favorite diorama channels lol

Perhaps something like a flour duster/sifter would be helpful for evenly sprinkling the powder pigments.

Okay, that did turn out really cool... but how did Katelyn not think of makeup brushes for dusting the duochrome pigments on with?!?!

I would've liked to see the magnet used above the canvas. For example if you nailed the canvas down, then the paint and use a smaller magnet maybe 🤷🏽‍♀️ idk I just wanted to see it the entire time 😂 I did like how they turned out at the end. Just food for thought 😊

3:20 😦How could you tease me with the Resin Time song like that! My favourite part is singing along 😡 Giving Joob some ham could make up for it.

I LOVE the Words Are Hard tee that Evan is wearing!!! Is that an old tee or something coming to your merch soon? Thanks for making videos. Started watching with my husband, and now our daughter is watching with us too. ❤️

YOu really should use a breathing mask if you are working with metal powders. Your lungs are really not that keen on metal dust, I think.
