29/30 as a non-native speaker, study words is kind of tedious, but Greg made this progress so interesting. I super love watching these videos. Love you, Greg! You are an excellent teacher!
26/30. This result is much better than the first three parts. I seem on the correct path of learning. Thanks a lot, Admin.
I love these voc test series! 21/30 🙁
Thank you so much for your all lessons ✌
Hey Greg, Much thanks to you for these vocabulary tests. I'm a non-native speaker and I absolutely love the format, the competitiveness gets me all excited. I purchased your GregMat+ subscription and intend to make full use of it. You are a gem. PS: I got a 29/30 on this, and 27+ so far in all of these tests. I guess it's time to move on to RC's :/

Really great job done ...thank you so much...
27/30. My best one yet. Haven't really done much vocabulary practice because I find it tedious.
27/30 its kinda fun revising through these tests
I hate this fucking test, but have to take it anyway. Ive tried to study in so many ways, looking for words in the dictionary, try to memorize, but Gregs videos are so useful. I find them challenging and even fun. I learn more quickly because the ones I got wrong stick in my mind. Thanks, GREG
18/30. I was well prepared for group 5 and accidently clicked on group 4. Realised it mid-test. So there was no stopping. Nevermind.
super stuff!
how is "standard" different from "conventional"...I mean the fine shade in meaning for the word paradigmatic?
@aa.2121
3 жыл бұрын
Interesting question. The way I thought of this was "Standard" would ideally refer to how something ought to be done, while "conventional" would refer to how something IS done.

I have the same question.

I think conventional means what is usually or generally done while standard sets the standard of how it should be done, i.e, it sets a bar of to which correctness can be compared. Hope this helps.

Indicators are standard whereas hand signals are conventional

I disagree with his assessment here. Paradigmatic means according to widespread practice. A paradigm being the common lens through which a practice would be viewed. Standard meaning a measured amount against which you could compare something. Conventional fits this meaning better than standard.
27/30 thanks a lot!
29/30 my best so far.
P1: 19/30 P2: 22/30 P3: 27/30 (Got lucky in some questions though :3) P4: 19/30 (Faced a lot of unfamiliar words. Also failed to recognize some root words :') )
27/30 !!!! finally getting over 25.
30/30. Studying the word list then taking the test.
27/30.. Its fun but few words I have to guess by sentence context
28/30 I love GREG
Hi Greg Thanks for the material. This is my fourth test and I am getting scores in the range of 22-24, although I am practicing and learning. Can you suggest me some more measures to improve. Presently, I am referring to your videos and Magoosh vocabulary flashcards. Also, just wanted to know is the book word power made easy by Norman will be a good material for GRE point of view or not. Please suggest

Hello, Can you suggest me this book which has included example. Thanks
Thank You sir 😘 we want to see part 50 make swift 😘
16/30 made silly mistakes and exam is in like 12 days but there is a lot of progress !!! and room and still scale well in my verbal
Since scrupulous also means moral could generous be a proper answer too? Also i read pedantic means someone who focuses on the trivial details so could amateur be a proper answer too cause its trivial details? I get confused on how exactly to use the word pedantic.
23/30 🙂
I got 28/30 alhamdulillah. Much better than my first attempt!
28/30 :)
first time getting 30/30! woof.
25/30 third recondite ,intimated,lncendiary,inimical,profundity ,prudent , pedantic ,corroborated.
Is this supposed to be taken before you do the words from the word groups or as a revision? Too late for questions?
28/30! Missed the meaning of scrupulous (just remembered moral), and intimate (guessed assert instead of implied) (this should be obvious cause when you intimate someone, you do that subtly, not assertively)
These videos are sporadically distorted.. the contemporaries' ploy?
26/30
Got 27/30
25/30, was hard
precipitated meaning can be exacerbated??
18/30
How can we recognise the adjective and Verb in the sentence
29/30!
Hello Sir, Thank you so much for all the materials you have provided. I have a doubt though Q 28, why not conventional? again, I have not looked up anywhere the definitions as I am writing this, just want to understand why "standard" is a better answer than "conventional"?
@russelagustinuspurba2723
4 жыл бұрын
Standard doesnt really mean conventional. Something could be standard but most people dont follow it. So it is not conventional
got 26/30
Pedant but not pedantic, took me some time to figured that they are the same thing
27/30 :D :D :D
24/30 ugh gotta work more
28/30 YAY
second attempt:22
This part of the test is very blur. The words are not clearly visible.
Hello Sir, Thanks a ton! for putting up these for us. I have a query with Q23. Why cant we use pragmatic? The sentence would mean that the approach was not practical. Thanks in advance!
@aa.2121
3 жыл бұрын
I think prudent refers to someone that thinks deeply about the repercussions of one's actions into the future, such as a portfolio manager for a millionaire.
@jessicaagrawal1948
3 жыл бұрын
pragmatic is about being practical about now, but prudent is more like being pragmatic plus thinking about future as well. so wise is a best answer. for example, prudent use of natural resources , not pragmatic use of resources although you can say it and its correct.
Q. 3. intimated -> asserted, implied. Aren't they equally good answers here?
@LilBookFlower
Жыл бұрын
Asserted means to forcefully and confidently state something, whereas implied means that it is indirectly suggested or hinted at. So they are two very different ways of stating something. Hope that helps!

How opaque connects to perplexing? Perplexing means puzzling
@kaiser24core77
2 жыл бұрын
Opaque can mean that something is not transparent, so not clear. Therefore, opaque can be used to mean that something is difficult to understand. I think of the word complicated when I use perplex. So, if something is puzzling or complicated, then that something is not clear, hence opaque.

14 is a bad question, it can also mean critical. On 28 D and E are too similar.
For #23- why prudent cannot mean economical?
@kueen3032
3 жыл бұрын
It can, its a synonym of prudent. I think both options were right, wise and economical.
@LilBookFlower
Жыл бұрын
@@kueen3032 Prudent means acting with wisdom, judiciousness, shewdness. While being economical is a prudent behavior, prudent does not mean economical and they are not synonyms. You can think of it this way: An intelligent person is not necessarily economical. But an intelligent person can be economical.
