29/30. Got lax wrong (fell for the cool trap) (should be lenient). I have now memorized the same as re(lax)ed -> not strict and lenient
27/30 irresolute=hesitant , plodding=slow=lumbering , panache= flamboyant , imperious=high-handed
First one in the series where I got a 30. Finding it immensely helpful! Cheers Greg :)
I am getting 18/30. Hopefully, will perform better in the next ones. Thanks, Greg Mat.
23/30 I love these voc series-it is very helpful and motivational. Thank you, thank you!
always enjoy the dry humor. thanks greg!
Thank you for the vocab! appreciate how they are in groups of 30
Thanks for the videos Greg!
Thanks you Greg For the good work.
Hello! Not sure if you check comments on such old videos but I just wanted to note that for #13 you used "homo sapiens" as a mnemonic device for "heterogeneous/homogeneous" but these are actually false friends. The prefix "homo-" comes from the Ancient Greek "ὁμός" (homos), meaning "same" or "in common" whereas "homo" from "homo sapiens" is Latin for "man." This is probably not interesting to anyone but classical philologists but I thought it might be worth sharing. Thank you for all your helpful videos!
27/30 woohoo. I only got 22 on test four. Meeting these words again and again in your test has evidently been what it takes for me to finally remember words like garrulous. I used flashcards, even mnemonic ones, but after a while they kind of just blur into one another.

where can we find flashcards for this?
Got 28. Didn't know all, some guesses were correct!
Damn Ive been getting 18/30 correct like every video so far
I had 20/30.. Thanks for the video
Got 24/30. Best video so far
Thanks a lot. 23 correct
Tough but good set of words to learn. Got only 19/30 this time

Hi, Thanks for the video. However, I feel, no. 4 has a problem... There are two equally suitable options : both 'censure' and 'denounce' can denote 'stigma'. In that case, why are we choosing 'denounce' specifically?
@gregmat8036
5 жыл бұрын
Good call. I just looled it up on Google and ‘denounce’ is the only one listed for ‘stigmatized,’ but ‘censure’ IS listed for ‘denounce.’ Pretty ambiguous. Could have been clearer. Good find Amrita!

@@gregmat8036 thanks! I suppose, both can be considered correct here... Ain't it?

a bit more difficult than previous ones! like restive was trickiest here :)
Pretty hard words this time. Thanks for this upload.
26/30 at first attempt. 30/30 at second attempt after two days
22/30 and I did this after memorizing 1200 words. But little did I realize that I forgot a lot of them LOL.
26/ 30 .. lax,weary,restive, imperious are tricky enough
The firm was firm :D
Nice music!
28/30 that's an improvement :')
I think stigmatize goes with denounce as well as censure. #4
27/30~ inspiring and helpful clips thanks a lot
29/30 personal highest sofar
26/30 my best yet. So many more words to learn, I'm getting overwhelmed

I would recommend taking the first one, every word you miss, write down with its definition 1-3 times. Wait a few hours to a day and take it again. Don't use any definitions when you retest. Repeat this process until you get 30/30. Repeat this process and apply it to each video in the series. Good Luck
27/30 !
Hey Greg, Doesnt restive mean restless? and restless exhaustive?
Yea I like the music!
Thanks a lot sir. Are you sure about the 29th?
22/30 🙂
Average score 1st attempts 17 so far.A little above half Second attempt:24

Thanks for the cool word dude.
Anyone knows the name of song? he played in beginning and end ?
26/30. I think it's a tough one. - estrange - impertinent - frivolous - conventional !!
Does "invasive" really mean to cause harm? or does the action of spreading cause harm?
26/30 on 1st try
Frivolous is strange. Meaning of the word is like, "not having any serious purpose or value.", "(of a person) carefree and superficial.". None of the dictionaries mention "trivial" as a synonym. Could you please explain? Thank you for these amazing videos, there are truly helpful.
@vivek.487

google it trivial is also one among the many meanings of it. Btw I thought the same answer anyway that is also correct

14/30.. hmm
11/30 ...:(
impertinent means to be rude, how is it undiplomatic?
rahool despises clangor 😂
Why did we choose unruly for restive and not exhausted?
@gregmat8036
5 жыл бұрын
Because restive is not related to sleepiness or tiredness. That is why Gre loves this word. It is a tricky one. It actually means that someone is difficult to control.
