Good to know I'm not the only one who had an issue with "nonchalant'' cause it is definitely not just synonymous with ''composed''.
I know many of these from italian: furtivo, evasivo, rudimentale (well I also learned it at school quite some years ago), indispensabile, lamento, exculpable (colpa means guilt or fault), provinciale, pensare, salutare, miopia (myopia), soporifico etc. There are some trick answers like fastidious which sounds a lot like fastidioso: irritating. Being a native English speaker I expected to get most of these correct, I've "only" been averaging 26/27 out of 30. On one of them, I got 16/30 - I must've had a bad day.
Cat in the cradle😭😭😭 Greg's lectures always contains some moving factors btw 26/30 portend=harbinger=forshadow nonchalant=composed feign=simulate(pretand to have a feel, typically emotion) exculpate=absolved(e.g. she'll absolve you of all the sinful shit on your hand?)
love the quotes you insert in the beginning of each vocab video :D
Great practice, 💫as usual!
Really great job done ...thank you so much...
Hi again. I'm so sorry to pester you like this again but I had an issue with question no. 17. 'Disinterested' can be synonymous with 'Nonchalant' as well ('Disinterested' means both 'unbiased' and 'indifferent'). P. S: Thank you for all these videos. These are undoubtedly helping me prepare for the GRE.

The GRE definitely uses the ‘unbiased’ version as a trick. I’ve never seen it mean ‘indifferent’ on the GRE. I should have been more clear that we’re choosing the definitions likely to appear on the GRE.
28 highest second attempt. 6 days later. ascribe=attribute , portends , evasive=indefinite , slighted=spurned , myopic=unimaginative
Thank you so much for making these videos :), they are very helpful. To add I think alludes means to suggest indirectly, you have used it in the wrong context at 10:28.
I feel like disinterested is answer to 17... one of nonchalant's synonyms is unconcerned, which relates to disinterest... what do you think?

I think displaying disintrest is different from actual disintrest. Nonchalant means displaying disintrest.

Its also means appearing calm. Haha. So i guess boths options are correct

Disinterested has two meanings, unbiased and not interested. Also nonchalant is one of its synonyms. Hence, both composed and disinterested are right.

in fourth question, evasive would not mean indefinite because enchanting doesn't seem to match

29/30. Missed esoteric -> obscure
Got 25/30
I have a query in Q 22 where acumen means "ability to have good judgement" according to GRE. A person can judge better by having experience. So I picked B (experience). Why not B instead of E (shrewdness)?

shrewdness is "ability to have clear understand and good judgement, usually resulting in an advantage"
Thanks for this! I got low score in this quiz.. I have exam after 3 weeks.. 🙏🏻
