Just learned about the GRE a month ago and I felt soooo intimidated, but let me just say, your videos are extremely helpful to a parsimonious student, like me who can’t even afford text prep materials. You are the best. I feel my vocabulary has expanded in such a short time from watching your videos and it doesn’t even feel like studying! It feels like a playing a game! Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to the GRE 💚🙏🏽

Hey Matt, good video! Question 24 - Transgression - tricked me! Very good question writing. Question 25 - Acrimonious - almost got me, I knew the definition of acrimony, but nonetheless I was thrown for a loop. I really like these types of questions, very informative. I take issue with question 16 - opprobrium. I still got it right reasoning that it was abuse, but I still don't buy that it is a synonym with opprobrium. I can concede that it is a near synonym and definitely fits best of the five. Is it your intention to throw near synonyms opposed to perfect synonyms, and if so, why?

The last one, for tempestuous, fervid fits well too. I looked up the thesaurus and I found both capricious and fervid. Can you clarify why fervid is wrong?
@TheTransformerCrazed
4 жыл бұрын
Late reply but fervid has more of a positive connotation than tempestuous; it's generally used to refer to someone who is enthusiastic. Tempestuous on the other hand is more of a negative word, used to describe someone who is stormy or has lots of mood-changes (capricious).

The background music was actually disturbing, and was not allowing to concentrate. So, please avoid putting it next time. Also, your idea of adding videos at the relevant points to help learners retain words was amazing, I missed it in this video. Would appreciate if you add the same in all of the rest tests.
