I just took delivery on my Model X! What a fantastic ride! There is a bit of a learning curve with this model. In fact I tuned in to see if you would cover the split climate feature. You almost did. I still have yet to find where you make it do that. I would think on the climate screen....FYI the onboard manual says to go to this screen and hit the spit button so your passenger can have their own air....well the split button is not displayed! To answer your question on the Tesla using a bit of AI to learn your habits I ran errands yesterday and after my Costco run, I made another stop for about an hour. When I came out to the car the air was on and I saw on the screen "short stop". Every subsequent stop after that the car temp was kept at my setting. Minor thing, but it sure is nice when it's 90+ outside to not have to get into an even hotter space. My Mercedes did something a bit similar in that it used the residual AC to keep the car cool for maybe 15 minutes after you shut it off. Tesla really raised the bar! The things I do not like at this point is the lack of a RADIO with local news,the tiny sun visors, and the biggest is the lack of a 360-degree camera. Come on Tesla! You have a front-end camera that can't be accessed when parking? Are you kidding me, this is a walk in the park for your engineers? I want to see the cement curb and see if I'm close enough to the curb when parking. It would prevent wheel rash at the very least. Most importantly, when I'm making a run at night to the grocery store or anywhere for that matter I want to look at the 360 camera before I get out of that car. Maybe only women think to do this, but dark parking lots present a "concern for safety" that is well documented as not being an unreasonable request. LOL, glad I didn't trade off my Infiniti that does this perfectly! Great video by the way.
I had a model X loaner. Currently own the Y, it’s a great upgrade. Will definitely consider getting this as the next car
Tesla recently lowered the MSRP. The X starts a tad under $80k to qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit. A towing package is standard and all color choices are no extra charge, even Ultra Red. I predict we we’ll see another price cut by the end of this year. We might see $75k for X and $70k for the S.

Ordered my X yesterday. Expect delivery Nov-Dec delivery, before tax credit expires. Trading in my 2009 F250.

More price cuts would be nice. Just found out my X delivery pushed back from Nov-Dec to Dec19-Feb, so maybe a few more months for price cuts to happen. Delivery next year would be a good thing if it still qualifies for the full $7500 IRA incentive as POS discount instead of tax credit would let me finance less, reduce monthly payments, pay less sales tax, possibly reduce registration/plates/insurance costs, and not have a $7500 tax credit reduced because it's more than I'll owe in taxes. And I won't have to park it outside for the winter before I build a new garage for it in the spring because it's too small for my itty bitty one-car garage. Also was notified by Tesla my midnight silver paint color is changing to stealth gray. What do y'all think of that? What's your color choice to go with black interior? I'm kinda torn between gray and red.

Model X is not an easy car to make. Further price cut not likely especially considering the pressure from the market.
When the top lid to the center console closes half way, if you push the lid softly again it will close all the way covering the cup holders. To the people saying this is the Plaid Model X because of the yoke it's not. Just bought our Tesla Model X and it has the yoke steering wheel and I love it!

Oh cool I didn’t know that. And yeah definitely not a plaid (wish it was) but overall a super fun and comfortable car to drive.

The outside side mirrors are required there since if you have a camera failure that you can still see on each side.

15:00 I believe on the model Y you should be able to swipe upwards on the camera UI and it'll show the side views as well
You can palm the entire right spoke with your whole palm over all of the buttons, for a rapid fire honk. So many people miss this on reviews.

Do you think the regenerative braking didn’t feel as strong since the car was almost fully charged?
If you push the center console lid again it'll close fully, just in case you weren't aware. Good review!

You can but rest assured it'll definitely tell you the doors are open.

Same spec vehicle today (9/16/23) is now $103,130 even including FSD (now $12k / Yoke $1k). :P
The haptic buttons on new model 3 and x button on sterring wheel, do the light up at night, or do you have to blindly hope you can find the right one??

Tesla x feels like a spaceship i love it
You can see all the same cameras on the Y by swiping up on the reverse camera. This isn't a feature specific to the S and X.

@@MattWallaceTech No problem! We've had a 3, a Y, and just got the X, so I've had some experience lol. Once you swipe it up, it stays that way until you swipe it back down. So it can be the default if you'd like. Enjoy it!
I own the Ultra Red 2023 Tesla X and tested the 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds in the 'insane' mode. I can't help but think the 3.8 is a bit conservative. Everything is absolutely perfect with the exception of constant steering wheel vibration above 55 mph. Have had it road balanced but still vibrates. Took it to Tesla service and was told it was within Tesla specifications. Quite disappointing.

Agreed...the new red is beautiful. Saw one at the delivery center and ordered the x in red about a week ago. Hard decision vs the new stealth gray. Haven't seen that color around yet.

Since this comment the vibration has been addressed and fixed, with partial over the air software update.
Homelink is included in model S and X now
@3:02 that is the farthest the door would open the older model X would open all the way because it has sensors on the doors so it will open according to if anything is close or near, the new refresh model X do not have sensors in the door so the door will only open partial there’s no settings for the door to open all the way on the refresh model X, you’re welcome

Test drive 6-8 months back, loved car but wasn't gonna pay $120k for it. $80k now minus tax credit. Ordered yesterday.
This was a very nice review. I’m trading in my old 2017 X for a new one to take advantage of the FSD trade in! My son has a Model Y, and I’ve driven it, and the regen is much stronger on his Y than my old Model X. I’m hoping the regen on my new X is more like the Y.

I now own my refresh Model X. A huge improvement over my 2017 X. The regen is much more like the Model Y!
They removed ultrasonic sensors from 2023 so the front doors only open a fixed 10 degrees vs previous would open 20-45 degrees. Disappointing but positive way to look at it is it won’t ever accidentally door ding someone else’s car?

I’m referring to the gross vehicle weight which is over 6k. A lot of businesses buy the X so it can fall under section 179
Don't understand why Tesla does not design the middle seats to recline and have center armrests! Distinct lack of "luxury".

Yeah I don’t like that the six seater middle seats don’t recline or fold flat. Very inconvenient.

The removal of the USS and FSD not being reliable, and now price down to 12k, is making me rethink the X. Although an X plaid now is going for 90k, I’m a little iffy as I feel that quality has gone down…

I do agree the removal of USS was a bad idea. I drove a Tesla without them and I hated it. Their quality hasn’t gone down at all. Build quality is excellent on these new models.
