Interesting idea with the toy car bottoms, especially if one were already disassembling them for another game like Gaslands. Let nothing go to waste!

Using small rings to make gauges was brilliant. Well done!!!
You have a very good imagination. That's another very clever and very successful build. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Eric, I really like your videos and have learned a lot from you. You're the one who gave me the idea to use styrene rods for pipes. I found that a hair blow dryer works wonders for bending the pipe. Just thought I'd pass that by to you. -Rick, USMC

It’s definitely called a doohickey. If it wasn’t before, it is now! Thank you for sharing yet another fantastic video.

Michael Marines Building things like this is an important counterpoint to a propensity towards hoarding :)
Excellent work! You put to good use the stuff we'd normally throw out and it doesn't cost anything. This terrain is great for games of 40k, Star Wars Legion, Cyberpunk, or Stargrave.
I didn't know Tom Hardy does wargaming.

That was my first impression first time I saw Eric 🤣🤣🤣
The gizmo in the guage is known as the "needle" They can be found in many types crossing different uses. Example: Analog circuitry uses a version commonly found on analog voltage meters. Now a days it's all digital. Another use would be pressure gauges. Used to measure psi heavily in steam powered tech.
I'm loving the ingenious builds. MacGyver would be proud. Look forward to more.

I've spent a small fortune on Sector Mechanicus for Necromunda (No regrets) but if I was playing a different Sci fi setting your tutorials are absolutely amazing, although I will be adding some extra small pipework and details to bulk it out abit.

Just to clarify, I meant using the small pipes to bulk out the sector mechanicus terrain especially underneath gantries. Your work looks awesome, I have not trained my eye into looking at different bits and pieces as potential terrain yet and would need to fill a box full of junk first.

Iain Milner ah yes. Watch out, hoarding terrain bits can really take up space. I need to make some projects out of this stuff before my wife goes nuts lol

Another nice build - The Airfix/Dapol bridge is a useful bit of kit, also take a look at Ratio LNER signal sets (lattice post masts, 1:72 scale but just use the ladders for windows), good for comms towers as well as industrial stuff. May have mentioned it already but check out PET strapping, or PP strapping, the embossed plastic strap used for pallets and large cardboard boxes, available in reels up to 32mm wide, handy for walkways.
Oh man! These are some nice tutorials! Quick and simple with cool end results. Keep'em coming!

Really great work, Eric. I'm watching at least one of the videos each day and have already sent links to my gaming buddies too. What I especially like is how you show that purposeful selection of parts and a little effort (like the dials, and the hatchway with the take-out sauce lid) look fantastic. Buying pre-made terrain has become so expensive and channels like this remind gamers that we can sidestep that cost easily.

Great video! Really impressed. I've added you to my "Hobby Heroes under 5,000 subs" featured list on my channel page :)
I feel like the wires could have used some color. They sort of blend in with the rest of the terrain because they are so thing. I think that like red cables, or something, would have worked wot make them stand out a bit and help break up the structure.
Just curious about the multicolored pipes I think you said they were available on Amazon. Do you happen to know the brand name for those I've not had much luck in finding them.
