Tennis training drills with professional coach and former ATP player top 100 BRIAN DABUL
I’m going to show you a series of drills that I use a lot with my young juniors all the way to my professional players.
In these specific drills we are working a lot on:
Technique of the stroke, The stances (i.e open stance/close stance)
Precision
Coordination
Reaction
Racket-head speed
Balance
Body transfer with Medicine balls
Raising your average ball speed
Point patterns
Volley technique
General power using your hips, shoulders, and legs
Defensive slice/Offensive
Dropshots
/////
This is just a part of that training. We also do a lot of point plays situations and sets to help organize everything we learned into match play.

Great stuff Brian
My love and soul is Karate, Tennis and Diploma in Aircraft Engineering.
primer ejercicio, coordinacion y apoyo abierto!
Beautiful and powerful precise strokes! I can see where the players accelerate the racquet and where Ball Contact is made ... on the Diagonal. Most Players here in the U.S. have no idea of this concept. And look at those full Racquet arm extensions .... on take back, Contact and the hit through.

Lord Byron. Don't say it change it. 👌
I loved that much
Absolutely terrific Sir!.. This kind of training just shows what could be possible for these young players. Clearly your experience of playing world level tennis - even playing a match against the incomparable Roger Federer - is going to be super valuable for these players.

Why do all of your students have western grips?
Why do you teach the step in technique? They need to hit natural not let the legs get in the way

My point is I would never do this drill with a high level student. I would tell him OPEN STANCE OR DIE! the ball comes back fast at a high level. Do you think you will have to step in? No way!!! That’s why you have to teach the game with the hands and eye only
These training drills are definitely for children and young athletes ... not for your everyday club player wannabes... 😝😝😝😝
