Tempura Vegetables -- Homemade Tempura Batter and Sauce

Happy National Tempura Day!
Not sure if you're as jacked up about this national food day as we are over here at 360 Catering and Events, but after looking at this recipe, we're convinced you just might catch the fever!
We're sure you're going to enjoy this somewhat healthier take on traditional fried zucchini and squash.
In this video, Chef Cody shows you step by step how to make your own tempura batter using club soda and rice flour, as well as a special tempura sauce that is sure to become a favorite at your house.
Here's what you'll need to follow along with today's recipe:
Tempura Veggies
1 Yellow Squash
1 Zucchini
1 1/4 Cups Rice Flour
1 1/2 Cups Club Soda
1 Egg Yolk
16 oz Safflower Oil
1/2 Tsp Kosher Salt
Tempura Sauce
3 Tbsp Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
3 Tbsp Dry Sherry
1 Tbsp Sugar
NOTE: Our veggies in this video were cut pretty thin and cooked MUCH quicker than 3 minutes, so keep an eye on them and take them out when they get that nice golden brown color.
