    I’m saying this with love, kuma is a veteran character. Simple and powerful combo will not work only players, I suggest trying out all of the characters and find which one works you the best. Look alone will not cut it when it comes to Tekken, you have to get the feel for the character💯 Don’t give up, stay grindin!💯✊🏾🔥😎

    I appreciate your interest in Tekken I beleive you will love it. But I will say special style is going to kill your potential. Best thing to do is take it off, head into practice mode, then learn the move list. The sample combos in practice mode will show you a glimpse of what your character is capable of. Good luck Afro!!

  • @TEKKENRAISED

    @TEKKENRAISED

    I think if it still allows the players to do normal inputs then it'll be really good for newer players. It'll allow them to basically fill in the gaps untill they actually learn the input or give the a taste of what moves are good for the character and their gameplan. Now if it hinders basic gameplay yeah its evil lol

  • @windliger1068

    @windliger1068

    5 ай бұрын

    @@TEKKENRAISED it doesn’t create issues with normal gameplay, thank goodness, but in comparison most special style combos deal only around half of the damage you could with a sample combo from the practice mode. I believe special style was only created for players who haven’t touched a fighting game and have hard time understanding inputs in succession for a combo. I forgot how awkward it can be trying to remember each input during a combo, but it’s something fresh players have to deal with unless they use special style until they’re ready.

    14:50 if you are actually looking for an answer to this question, the special mode (the thing you just hit triangle and the game plays for you) is great if your playing a character you’ve never touched before. Gives you an idea of what they do and let’s you hit decent combos. But once you’ve got that feel, decided who you want to play. You should turn it off, hop into the lab and start figuring stuff out. Because realistically it’s locking you out of 90% of your characters moves and your offense becomes way more effective.

    Advice on teching throws: three throws (1 , 2, or 1+2) and they are broken by pressing the corresponding input. You know what throw you’re getting hit with based off looking at the leading hand when your getting grabbed and if both hands are leading it’s 1+2 . Due to king being the “true grappler” he can break the traditional rule of you seeing his hands and teching correctly so it real mix on some of his grabs even if it’s react-able

I also go into training mode with the nicest feeling character I can find and don't leave until i download at least 10 into my brain. Idk what you be doing in the background cuz I don't use twitch assuming that's where you be chilling nowadays. Nah trust me, I've played every game since tk2. You don't wanna start with any other games than this. Of course there's legacy skills that carry over but this is the first game where the game actually teaches you how to play properly. Tekken 7 is similar but not the same. You'll just be confused. Almost all of the combos have been completely reworked. 8 is the way too go.

  • @WavyJayZ

    @@thejoekage9499do you play either games? Because that's not true at all. All the tornado attacks have been reworked, most characters have total different combo enders and wall finishers. Tekken 7 is useless now. New players should most definitely start with 8. Look up fighting gm and see what he says about being new to the game. Ask any pro and they'll tell you to start with 8.

    I gotta say Afro for a first time this is good, I can see the potential king! Some tips I can say is that holding back is how you block kinda like DBFZ. Holding Down + back blocks lows. Also L1 turns special mode on/off, so if you suddenly stop doing combos that’s why. Good luck on journey my guy! You got this!
