Tekken will literally kick your ass with how difficult it is, and then you get good and it feels amazing to kick ass yourself. I’ve played guilty gear, sf6, nearly all the mks, but tekken just fucking HITS.

Pretty much sums it up. Tekken is such a deep fighting game and requires lots of skills to get good at. I think it’s one of those games you can’t simply mash to win.

Idk if it’s more fast paced they both got their own gameplay fast pace. But different, Tekken seems more combo too, not like you can’t juggle in Vf but you not round housing someone 6 feet in the air while they do 3 backflips simultaneously 😂 I tried Tekken 7 out before but it was like last year and decide to wait till now lol. N no worries vf characters also have 50+ moves n inputs. It looks hella hype tho You tekken players eating good

I grew up with both mk and tekken and I can gladly say that Tekken 8 is a blast. It’s an amazing franchise that is emotionally powerful and very impactful to millions. The game is one of the best stories I’ve played. And remember FIGHTING ISN’T JUST ABOUT STRENGTH……ITS ABOUT SURVIVAL

That’s the best way to put it. It’s exactly like learning a new language but once you’re fluent everything just flows. This is my first tekken game and I love MK but I haven’t touched MK since tekken dropped I’m having too much fun

I know your mainly a MK Fan but I would love to see the channel expand to a broad fighting game channel allowing you to cover a wide variety of fighting games, their are so many gems out there and it would make for great content.

Like max dood said, dont focus on one type of content, you need variety to build an audience. You can still play your favs, but branching out helps.

One of the things I loved about Tekken 8 is that they let you customize every stage music with all the tracks from all the past Tekken games. Which is a huge deal for me because I loved Tekken 5’s soundtrack. So I’m happy I can listen to it while playing the newest game

This is a feature that needs to be in every fighting game!!! It makes games so much more fun when there’s a couple stages where you don’t like the music and you could just swap them from previous games!! I’m there with you 100% on this.

Which platform was this on? They did this for Tekken 7 as well but made it an exclusive feature for PlayStation only, while the the PC version emphatically rubs a EULA in your face about how modding is strictly prohibited (although I don't think that alone stopped anybody). Really rubbed me the wrong way. If they're finally treating all platforms equally I would love that.

Welcome to the tekken family 😂. I've been play Tekken since Tekken lol I'm 36. I use to do tournaments in the arcade for Tekken 3 and 4. Tekken had character customization since 6 and the story mode was introduced in Tekken 7 which has Akuma from Street Fighter. Tekken and Soul Caliber is my jams.

Me too. I'm 35. But never had real arcade Tekken scene. Was super amazing when a new small arcade opened in our mall and there was a brand new Tag1 machine. That was my arcade experience back then. Good to know I'm not the only one who has been around since the original Tekken.

That’s how 7 was like that too. Tekken in general feels so rewarding landing anything more than 3 hits when learning any character. My first tekken was 6 and it’s always bothered me how many people say “Tekken is too hard” so I’m so glad more people are getting into tekken

@@Southernguy39 not at all. I'm a Mortal Kombat fan played every game and loved the series. MK1 fell short 🤷🏿‍♂️ didn't win GOTY after winning the last few years, that also says something. They should've let MK cook in the oven longer before they released it, sorry. Tekken 8 feels like a fresh and complete package and I'm not even a big fan of the series, but that's how you release a fully loaded game day one. And now with time it will only get better and better sorry man hopefully KP2 revives MK1 or something in the future.

As someone who played the demo of Tekken 8 when it first came out and in the process of playing the full game.... it's definitely my favorite out of the three fighting games out right now . Street Fighter 6 is decent, and when it comes to MK1... I'm just burnt out with the grindy nature of unlocking skins/ pallettes , the lack of cross-play, the absence of offline content... etc . Tekken 8 is going to be my go-to for the time being ✌️

This is my 1st Tekken since Tekken 3. In my opinion, T8 is too easy.

Tekken 8 absolutely knocked out out of the park. The gameplay feels buttery smooth, visuals look out of this world in unreal engine 5, and a story mode looks to be the best ever came out of the fighting game genre. The netcode was even improved from the beta, a rare cry from most AAA games nowadays. Plus with all the train options along with can see of ghost battles there's just so much you can do for any type of player. It's insane. Everything feels well thought out and actually worthy of a modern game. It might very well just be the best Tekken, if not one of the greatest fighting games ever released. The fact that we're not even a weekend in and we've already seen a whole variety of different customization options for different characters that go from movie stars to various gaming icons to such a specific, accurate degree goes to show how much replayability and creativity this game allows us, despite the fact that we all seemingly thought the customization options were disappointing compared to the past entries. After Street fight 6's recent monetization issues and Mortal Kombat 1s... _everything,_ it's great to see the last of the big three deliver a fine game that truly deserves to be called AAA. The bar for fighting games and 2024 gaming has yet again been raised, and I'm excited for the future. Now please Harada, put Tifa and Yuji Itadori in the game I'm begging you.

Definitely play the story mode! If you want a great in-depth explanation of Tekken's story, watch a video called The Insane Lore of Tekken. The video is very well explained and definitely worth the watch.

Tbf on the character select screen, it's not just loading the character model. It's actually loading not only the default skin but it's also loading other defaults AND customizations if you've made any.

Imma be honest, I like MK1 and enjoy the gameplay. As a fairly new Tekken player I am LOVING tekken 8. It just feels satisfying getting better and better at the game. The hits feel amazing, I love the stages and the customization is incredible which MK is severely lacking. Servers feeling good and it’s a FULL game at launch. Characters are all very unique and play differently. It takes time to get used to but the gameplay is incredible I love it

If you start getting into Tekken this could really be the start of an incredible breath of fresh air for the channel. Please 🙏🏾

All the top players starting from the bottom. Give it a few days and you will find lower level players around your rank. Like I have been bodying high ranks but that's just because I haven't gotten around to playing ranked yet.

Complete the offline tutorial run first. You will be placed in "beginner" ranks when you play online ranked.

The game starts you off by playing a bot to test your skill level for online play. There is also an addition of auto combos/specials that makes the game as simple as it gets. There really should be no worry about Tekken being beginner friendly because it is.

God bless the guys who drop the $70 (actually more with tax) and dabble in online and get owned and never do it again. To me you shouldn’t have gotten a fighting game. That being said there’s other single player content.

Soul Caliber also has amazing customizable options. Both fun to mess around with.

MK1 about to drop cross play … yet another reason why I feel like if WB ain’t rush this out and they got to drop it how they wanted too prob in March or April like they always do it prob would of been ready to go at launch too. And I feel like Invasions would be diff too. WB has no idea how much damage they did to the MK franchise smh

Facts and Invasions definitely shoulda came out as a updated and bigger version of MK'11s krypt where we could actually travel all the realms like in Deception. Big fumble.

Yooo I'm sorry but I'm a MK guy but I can't even lie Tekken 8 smashed every fighting game that's came out within the past decade! When I tell you this game is so damn fire I mean it! And I haven't played Tekken since like PS2..👀 do you hear me!!😳 And I jumped right in.. I did watch the story mode no skips of Tekken 7 first tho to catch myself up on what's goin on and refresh my memory.. and it's Legit! Hard to pick sides even I'm surprised to say! but man the story was so captivating and fresh! I never knew what was gonna happen next and it felt like I played a movie/anime!!! Then it's 32 different characters on launch!!! I didn't know who to choose first everybody got hands and come different! these devs deserve a round of applause and fighting game of the year!!! It's not even close and they just leveled up the game in a major way!! I'm pleased with my purchase and about to go play more... Cudos Tekken 8 cudos!!!my Main is Leroy by the way for those who want smoke..lol oh and another point every ethnicity including their damn language is here!! And that was amazing to be hear too! Rather I had to read the captions or not I didn't mind not one bit!!! You got Japanese, American, Chinese, German, Russian, French, Hispanic, Animal..lol and the list goes on! Pick this up people please support devs who do it right and show us their passion like this just accomplished! I feel the love they put in it and I Love this Game As a Result! Again I'm not a Tekken player or a fanboy.. but I just might be after this!!! MK, STREET FIGHTER, VIRTUAL FIGHTER... Hell what ever fighter TAKE NOTES!!!! P.S From a MK fan..smdh
