    Saw violet stuff after Kazuya s final punch? Its the Devil Gene(If you watched Tekken 3 intro, you probably saw how this thing left Jin with tatto). Heihachi got injected by it(kinda). If he survived, Devil Gene is the only reason. But still it be dum, since Tekken 7 ,,final,, between Mishimas fight.

He probably use her dna as his last option. Or he can comeback like his father a vengeful demonic Heihachi.

    I think it's quite telling that Heihachi was able to overpower Kazuya's strongest Devil form, but ended up losing to human Kazuya instead. For all the years of both Heihachi and Kazuya wanting more power, they always had all the power they needed inside of them. It's kind of sad.

Like how in real life a human can achieve greats feats when their life is threatened,you know those stories,we have all heard stories of even women pushing cars away to save their life or their children etc. kazuya didnt feel threatend at all cause he was far stronger and superior being overall(remember he didnt steal these powers,its not cheating,he is simply not a human so why should he have to fight like one)

    The sad thing is, Heihachi *knew* he was going to die the moment he saw Kazuya still alive back in T4. Afraid by the power of Kazumi and subsequently Kazuya by hereditary inheritance, he thought he was protecting humanity by killing Kazuya before he became like his mother Kazumi. By throwing Kazuya from the top of that volcano, Heihachi was certain he ended the devil bloodline but when Jin came into the picture, he perhaps thought that his grandson, uninfluenced by any previous devil gene user (namely Kazuya or Kazumi) would give him the opportunity to do things differently but he eventually couldn't completely part ways with his fear of the devil gene and betrayed Jin in the end. Then the worst possible thing happened, Kazuya came back and with a vengeance against his father. His only hope would be that Jin and Kazuya either killed each other or were both sufficiently weak for him to finish the job and end the devil bloodline once and for all. But unfortunately, Jin's Kazama blood kept him from ever going full murder mode and it left Heihachi in a state where he knew his death was inevitable as Kazuya was still coming for him. The son killed the father and as things go, the son will kill the father again and the cycle might repeat itself. In the end, it all lies on Jin now as Kazuya winning would probably mean the end of humanity at this point.

    Problem with this quote is that it assumes that in any culture the kids actually question any of their parents moral choices in parenthood and I think everyone knows for a fact (especially white Americans in my experience) that they mostly don’t, cause most people want to love their parents which is a problem socially and internationally. The only time people disagree heavily with their parents overtime is if they were dealt a bad hand and went through personal problems with them, like actual abuse (which is not the only reason to judge your parents), but otherwise gratitude and unconditional love is what keeps people from actually judging their parents.

    You know, after some time, I've given this fight some thought. I've always hated those moments in games where you get into an intense fight against a major boss only to trigger a cutscene where the player's character gets defeated. always seemed like bullshit to me as well. the issue is, I feel like it was a case where it was a conflict of interest between story and gameplay being put together. If you think about it gameplay wise, it simply doesn't feel right if you were to play as Kazuya the whole time and then just beat the shit out of a human while playing as someone who is boss material. But on the other hand, this whole story was set up to be Heihachi's last fight and ultimately the end of his life at the hands of Kazuya. To me, it ends up being you playing as Heihachi to make Kazuya really earn his last victory against Heihachi as this actually is a literal repeat of the final fight from Tekken 2 where Heihachi defeats Devil Kazuya and throws Kazuya into the volcano, except this time it's different. Kazuya doesn't stay down. He gets up one last time as purely a human to put an end to the feud once and for all in his favor after several other failed attempts to avenge himself since Tekken 2.

    Imo, there should have been a last phase where you could control normal Kazuya against Heihachi, this way, it would've felt right to have him lose to his kid like that

  • @newhybrid101

    @newhybrid101

    Heihachi beat Devil,not Devil Kazuya,whom was part of a struggle with Kazuya and Angel and he was also weakend by Jun Kazamas influence. Devil has power not skill like Kazuya,it was alsp stated in the manual for Tekken 3 that HUMAN Kazuya was able to seriously injure Heihachi in their fight and that Heihachi won by willpower.The same Kazuya that was confused due to the whole mental struggle as well as seemigky slacking of his training after killing Heihachi(he only trains for vengeance,while Heihachi legit loves martial arts,this is my eyes is a big disadvantage for Kazuya) In tekken 7 Kazuya was in control but to be fair this form was new and propably not mastered yet which may have caused him to drop out of it Otherwise i agree fully with the comment,Heihachi wouldnt go down until he died by his human son

  • @ilcapitano648
    @ilcapitano6487 жыл бұрын

    I've not had goosebumps playing a game like this since the suicide mission of Mass Effect 2. This last fight was fucking amazing. The music, the atmosphere, the flashbacks (the first one of Kazuya holding the gun gave me chills) and Heihachi's death at the end. It was masterfully created. Watching Heihachi, who we've all grown up to know as a scumbag, face his inner demons, his wife and his son and hold back against everything thrown against him like a true hero was insane. And even watching him die, I couldn't hate Kazuya because he's just as tormented as Heihachi was, he needed to end Heihachi or he'd never be at peace. Fantastic storytelling and I can't wait from Kaz vs Jin in Tekken 8.

    FEELS!!!!! Well said. The last fight was a culmination of all those feelings. Tormented family and a fitting way for Heihachi to go out. T8 squares up nicely for Jin vs Kaz. I just feel Akuma was a bit wasted in all of this however. Didn't fulfill his mission so what is next for him? Hes technically Tekken cannon w/kazumi but is it a one and done deal in T7?

  • @ilcapitano648

    @ilcapitano648

    7 жыл бұрын

    Lord Cognito Damn right man! I couldn't imagine Heihachi going out any other way and I'm hyped for Tekken 8. I just hope since Jin is the lead this time around, we'll see more of characters like Hwoarang and Xiao, since they're a big part of Jin's arc. And I agree, I am a little confused on what the deal is with Akuma. I think the problem is they wrote themselves into a corner with it. I honestly love how they included him in the story rather than just putting him in the game for no reason and his motivation for being in the game was cool (though I didn't particularly enjoy playing as him). The problem is, on one hand, having Kazuya die at the hands of a guest character would just feel like stroking Capcom's ego, and a slap in the face to long-time Tekken fans who want to see it end the right way - at the hands of a character just as iconic to Tekken as Kazuya is. But on the other hand, you can't kill off a character as iconic as Akuma outside of his own universe, that'd rub all the SF fans the wrong way and it wouldn't feel fitting for someone who is so synonymous with one franchise to be killed off in another franchise. Still cool how they included him, I'm just curious as to how they get around it.

  • @lordcognito3500

    @lordcognito3500

    7 жыл бұрын

    Totally spot on with your Akuma synopsis. They boxed themselves narratively because they clearly cant piss off both fan bases. Dont get me wrong, i LOVE that he was included in the kazumi arc, but was just very weak to me that although Akuma defeated Hei, he wouldn't be intelligent enough to know he wasnt dead! lol It was the RIGHT call for Kazuya to kill Hei however. I think we get proper story modes for Hwoarang and Jin arc characters in T8. Definitely a conscious decision by Harada to let Jin sit T7 this go round for the sake of Mishima history.

  • @ilcapitano648

    @ilcapitano648

    7 жыл бұрын

    Lord Cognito Maybe we'll get something like Akuma abandoned the promise to Kazumi after finding out she held the devil gene (it's unlikely considering Akuma is hardly a moralistic character or capable of judging others for using dark power) unless they're serious about bringing him back for 8. Although thankfully they've built Heihachi into such a badass that Akuma didn't look bad for not killing him, considering it took everything Kazuya had to put him down. And I'm glad they kinda shelved Jin for this game, otherwise it could've just ended up a complete clusterfuck for such a short story. Hopefully they let some of the other characters in on the story next time, and not go all Soul Calibur 5 on us by putting Jin as the be-all and end-all of the story.

Their rivalry was such a HUGE part of my childhood all the way back to the original Tekken... thats why I LOVE how during this fight you see flashbacks to the past Tekken games... That final punch at 10:38 had 7 games... 26 years worth of anger behind it Now all I know, is if Tekken 8 is the FINAL Tekken game, Harada better tie up the loose end and give the fans closure... Is Jun Kazama alive or not... we only seen her in Tekien 2 & the Tekken Tag games and the Tag ganes aren't canon to the actual Tekken story So if Tekken 8 is the final piece of the story, that question needs to finally be answered... if shes alive its only fitting she finally shows up at the final showdown between Jin & Kazuya to end it all... would love for Tekken to finally end with Jin, Kazuya & Jun all in the same place at the same time... that's never happened before

    How I want Tekken 8 to end, even though it most likely won’t. Jin kills Kazuya the same way, Kazuya killed Heihachi. and right before throwing him into the lava, Kazuya tells Jin he’s proud of him for being able to defeat him and finally acknowledges him as his son. After dying in the lava, Kazuya wakes up in Jun Kazama’s lap. She smiles at him and Kazuya peacefully smirks back at her, happy to spend his eternity with her. Years pass and Jin has rebranded the Mishima Zaibatsu to his image once again, but this time, unlike back in Tekken 6, he uses it to rebuild the world he, Kazuya, and Heihachi had almost destroyed. He runs the company with Xiaoyu, who he had finally married and the two have two kids a girl and a boy named Jun and Kazuya. Panda and Kuma are their pets. Hwoarang takes over Baek’s dojo to honor his late master’s memory. His rivalry with Jin still continues to this day. Marshall Law continues his restaurant business like usual, but Forest and Paul Phoenix would go on to compete and win future King of Iron Fist tournaments, where the two would make enough money to rebuild and rebrand Paul’s failed dojo, where many young aspired fighters would sign up and train on a daily basis. Forest would also eventually meet and marry his first wife and have his first child. Steve is finally accepted and acknowledged by Nina as her son and the two finally build a mother and son relationship. Nina steps away from her life as an assassin and finally ends her family feud with Anna. The two would go in to watch and support Steve as he restarts his boxing career and easily becomes the world champion once again. Yoshimitsu was informed by Kunimitsu 2 that Kunimitsu 1 had fallen ill, so he decides out of care for his former pupil, he finds a cure for her and she has since made a full recovery. Kunimitsu 2 expresses her gratitude by becoming Yoshimitsu’s student where the latter gladly accepts. These are just the characters that I mainly like to play, I don’t really have a ending for every one else.

    @@chuckingreaper8654 Instead of repeating the same thing.... Imagine. So if Jin Defeating Kazuya in Tekken 8. Doesn't necessarily mean that Kazuya dies. Judging from it though they will fight. More than that I could see Jin becoming more evil as a result of killing Kazuya. If so I'd imagine the nmgame after that would be Jin vs The World. I'd imagine he'd lose power possibly after everything he's done and be betrayed. Which would force him to find ways to become more powerful. This might be where Tekken 9 starts. Jin become this symbol of Destruction and humanity must rise to Destroy him. Lol. It would also be interesting if as he does this. Jin somehow gets a son. Lol. This would really complicate things especially if the child was used to as a Trump Card against humanity forcefully. They would need to bring in new characters and people for sure. But knowing Tekken there's always going to be something. I also want a Street Fighter X Tekken 2. But one that's actually cannon to the Tekken Universe. Just because Akuma is in T7. They could literally make a Tekken Styled SF and man that would be epic.

    @@OPTIMUMELITE Or maybe Jin spares Kazuya. There's a very real chance that Jun appears in Tekken 8 (even Harada states that Jun is very important to both characters and that her official status is missing), and Jin' vision of his mother made him spare Heihachi (and Kazuya) in Tekken 4, so if she appears she might persuade him to spare Kazuya. We know that it is possible to extract the devil gene from a person, like how Azazel's orb will drain the devil gene from a person (Tekken 6 devil jin ending), and even Kazuya extracts Jin's half in his non-canon Tekken 4 ending. I know Kazuya by himself is evil at this point, but his half smile might be an indicator that despite his claims of fully absorbing the Devil's personality, it still affects him. If Jin manages to fully control his devil half, then he might be able to beat Kazuya and then absorb Kazuya's half. Of course, this won't make Kazuya instantly good, but might clear his mind a little, or make him even more vengeful. This would break the cycle of son killing father, make Jin follow his mother's teachings and reduce Kazuya's menace to the world. The question is if Jin will commit suicide after doing so. Since Lars can match regular Kazuya and is a good Mishima, Jin might feel that he is enough to take care of Kazuya once he's dead.

    This ending totally took me by surprise. The Tekken story has been apart of my life for about 18 years and, although I never really understand the story, I always perceived Heihachi as the ultimate bad guy. I genuinely felt bad for him in that, he was actually a good guy who turned evil after he lost everything he loved. Perhaps that's the message of his story arc. The potential for awesome destructive power has its maximum effectiveness when we experience loss. It's during loss that we must be at our strongest and fight the hardest!

    Rapture idk about that Kazuya is probably not gonna die because there is numerous reasons why, if you played all the games read the guides and understand Kazuya's role in the games. Kazuya is the main focus point of the game yeah we know that his son the protagonist of the series now but he wasn't the main focus, Kazuya doesn't really know why his father wants to kill him( which Heihachi didn't really wants to do it for the heck of it for obvious reasons), he doesn't know about the Hachijos and their true intentions, he doesn't why a specific part of the G-Corp wants to kill him and Heihachi, He didn't explain of how both Jun and him came a thing( plus don't know yet about angelic powers), and the number 1 thing he doesn't know that Devil is infact the main influencer/controller of his evil intentions. Killing Kazuya is not a simple task for the devs/Harada because he a character that made Tekken of what it is. Jin will fight his father but he won't kill him because Jin doesn't know why his father behave this way, why his mother became intimate to him, and why he didn't came when he was young and stop Orge. Jun's blood is another factor of why he won't accomplish the kill just like the conclusion of Tekken 4, Jun doesn't allow her son to kill someone who she knows who are troubled and love. Jinpaichi was a exception because he cannot regain of his body which the vengeful demonic spirit would eventually control his entire being. Kazuya can be stop by unharmful means because his soul is trapped by Devil/Hachijo clan influence. Jun needs to comeback, Jin needs to realize the history of his grandma's clan/Devil/Kazuya, and Asuka needs to stop Jin because she too possess the same angelic blood of her non-blood related clan relatives that is the mirror version of the Devil Gene.

    Sora Light That just wouldn't work out. They'd have to force a bullshit reason down people's throats to explain how they're even in the same time period. Plus their mechanics just don't fit with that of Tekken. You'd just have a bunch of long range spammers abusing fireballs, shurikens and other projectiles. Tekken's not about that. Even the characters that can use long range abilities in tekken I.e. all Devils and(T7) Akuma are put in a very vulnerable position where they are grounded or locked in position to be punished for taking the risk to perform that move.(High risk, High reward) Characters in naruto just pop their substitution. And even if they adjusted them to where they couldn't abuse everything I stated, I doubt naruto fans would be happy playing a naruto with immense changes and restrictions. Plus they'd actually have to learn to fight with more than the o button for regular punching and kicking combos. And we all know crossovers are done to promote 2 or more franchises, I am pretty sure one or the other would be pissed with the changes. Just some facts and some opinion as to why I believe it's a bad fit.

The fact that Kazuya remembered Heihachi at what was Kazuya's most terrified moment in his life, and the fact that the final attack came off more as a desperate panic attack than anything else, pretty much solidified that Heihachi had broken Kazuya at least in the head (again). The bit where Kazuya stated that only the standing person wins felt more like he was trying to convince himself that he had won, rather than admit having lost that condescending persona in that one final moment against his father and acting like the child he saw himself at that time.

    Tekken 1 - Kazuya won. Tekken 2 - Kazuya entered into a mental conflict with himself (Devil x Angel) which made possible the victory of Heihachi. Kazuya was thrown into the volcano. Tekken 3 - Kazuya was dead. Tekken 4 - Jin was stuck in Honmaru, so without any competition Kazuya destroyed all the competitors of the Iron Fist Tournamment 4 and defeated Heihachi in the finals and in exchange for leaving Mishima Zaibatsu still with Heihachi, he asked for Jin's location. Tekken 5 - Kazuya gave up in the middle of the tournament after learning that the G-Corporation was spying on him through Raven, so he gave up before facing Heihachi and took control of the G-Corporation. Jin defeated Heihachi and then Jinpachi in the finals. Tekken 6 - They did not meet because of Kazuya's focus being on Jin. Heihachi gave up participating in the tournament. The tournament did not have a conclusion due to Azazel's interference. Tekken 7 - Kazuya won and killed Heihachi. So as we can see from the canonical line, Kazuya has always been superior to Heihachi.

    I dont think Heihachi was "The good guy" Kazumi tried to kill him knowing he would become this sort of EVIL DICTATOR... Kasuya comes to be just a casualty in the story since hes evil intentions comes from both personal issues and genes...they are both wrong either way

    Heihachi became an evil dictator BECAUSE Kazumi tried to kill him. She fulfilled the prophecy. He didn't start becoming the Heihachi players knew until after he realized that she only joined the clan specifically to kill him rather than out of love.

    Joshimaki well your right about that the Hachijo clan intentions are purely simple and are actually share the same goals like most devil users. Azazael intentions was evil but he shared the same thought of killing all sinners, the Hachijos wanted to kill all the forces who are aimed to become evil in the near future eventually. Heihachi and Kazumi was both rught and wrong about their fates, but it needed to happen anyway because her clan of the Devil can sense evil presence producing around those particular individuals who true intentions are not develop yet. The only Devil beings who doesn't share the same beliefs is Devil Jin and Devil aka Devil Kazuya who goals are either pure destruction while the other is take over the world and kill all opposing forces.

    Before Kazumi tried to kill him, Heihachi had already defeated and imprisoned Jinpachi and taken control of his company. THEN she saw that he had no way of salvation and tried to kill him. Which definitely made things worse.

    @@EvilPumpkin no, actually Jinpachi was imprisoned after that incident. Heihachi himself states that Kazumi went to Jinpachi's dojo and they fell in love. So in that moment Heihachi was a good guy. his descent to madness was after Kazumi's betrayal.

    The best thing in Tekken 7. It would be nice if Namco did the similar cutscenes of fights with another charachters- Bryan vs Yoshimitsu, Jin vs Hwoarang etc.

    I only played Tekken resurrection for a month when I was a kid, and decided to get back into Tekken because the game looked so fun As a beginner, Kazuya was so hard to beat. Like legit huge difficulty spike, I breezed through the campaign but he took me like 40 tries to beat Beating him felt amazing tho Rip Heihachi
