Was really hoping that Josie would pull off some FMA (Filipino Martial Arts) stuff since I heard she was Filipino, but when I saw her fighting style, it just looked like a cheap version of Bruce's Muay Thai. The wiki says she fights with an "eskrima-based kickboxing" fighting style, but I honestly don't see it other than on some of her throws. Would've loved to see some empty-hands eskrima moves or maybe even a pair of knives that functions as a stance change. As a Filipino guy myself, I have to say, I'm very disappointed in the character. The whole crying thing didn't help either.

When T7 came out and there was no sign of Anna and Bruce ( G. Corp - Kazuya`s Henchman), I thought Kazuya killed both in his devilish rage for some reason. But Bruce is also Kazuya's best and if not the only friend he have. p.s.: Adrien, Please do something about Baek Doo San to Tribute him (rip Taekwondo Legend)

@@kyle.mcgraham I see no larger implications from Bruce's ending, so it could be canonical or not and it wouldn't really make a difference. It's true that most of the endings are not canonical, but they still reveal something about the character.

Its just unrealistic for the best Muay Thai expert to be that frail, i mean its THE most brutal fighting sport, those fighters are very agressive / confident, crazy even.... problem is also that her looks/body is very unrealistic for the best Muay Thai girl in the world, which makes her strikes just feel... weak... unsatisfying.... she should look more like CRIS CYBORG or something.... JUST BRING BRUCE IRVIN BACK PLEASE HARADA!!

i missed him so much in t7 ...gladly they buffed my other main king and made him a monster if there is a season 3 in t7 i demand a comeback for bruce

Facts Bruce is a great Character, i love his Tekken 5 ending its still amazing to this day "Keep it up kid" after beating the shit outta those assholes who was picking on the little boy 💯💪🏾and i used to have fun playing him in Tekken 6 the most in Ghost Battle kicking everyones ass while digging his new moveset, its a fucking disgrace they took away a iconic Character like Bruce and gave us a crybaby trash like Josie smfh its beyond ridiculous

Bruce could have worse data than Gigas in T7 and I'd still play him. More than anything though, I'm excited to see what redesigns they'll do for characters like Bruce, Ganryu, Kunimitsu and Wang. Armor King and Anna look fantastic in T7.

This doesn't even cover the chain grabs Bruce is able to do out of the crouchdash like King. They're not required for his pressure and have few routes, but an already complete character getting chain grabs is nothing short of amazing.

Do Azazel next, like how you did Jinpachi in 5. I have messed around with him with mods before, it's quite insightful to see just how busted he actually is (also he has some actual good combos, and a wall kick move for some reason).

Who asked for josie though? Bring Bruce back!

Omar Whyte We need Filipino representation in the game. Tekken is the biggest fighting game in the Philippines. Albeit fighting games aren’t that big here. It’s just sad that the Filipino representation came at the expense of losing Bruce.

I am a Filipino and i main Bruce (but for now josie). Its so sad that i was hoping that he would be back, maybe season 3, but i am happy that a filipino character is intro in tekken. Josie should have been a non-stick variation of eskrima. Maybe Yaw-Yan ,but its quite similar to her current like some moves but its comepletely different from muay thai or All Filipino Martial Arts mixed together.

Bruce was one of the most badass og Tekken characters of all time. It was a disgrace that he got replaced by josie in Tekken 7 😂

@@jclarke90 Alright, I thought it was -11, minor difference.. I remember watching t6 Korean matches, CD3 was extremely spammable even at high level among very best people.. And then at the wall he used db3+4 or sth i forgot the input but it was extremely useful..

Meanwhile Josie is whimpering because she can't believe she kicked the living shit out of a 1st dan Steve.

I was fine with cutting characters for T7 since there were too many clones in Tag 2, keep the roster unique. Then we got genderbent versions of the same characters Master Raven & Josie, *MAKE NEW CHARACTERS OR KEEP THE ORIGINAL HARADA!*

Leave Gigas alone, he shares some move animations with Marduk(mostly different data on them) but he plays very differently. I hope they double down and flesh the character out instead of removing him in future sequels.

oh please, original Raven aged like milk. Master Raven was the best thing they could do to revamp his move set and give a much cooler face to it. It made me play her, smth I never did with the og one cause he was a boring ass character. Bruce on the other hand should have never been replaced, but his design deserved a revamp like S2 characters in T7. Hope he comes back for S3.

I was really good with Bruce in Tekken 5. Hell I made it to Tekken Lord fighting the ghosts in my first playthrough.

Steve b1 is much more gay. You can't whiff punish it, you can sidestep it and it's like -3 on block. Bruce b2 is good but not that good. Just block since it's -9 on block and leaves him close, so you can do mixups. Or SSR it whiffs even when Bruce is +8. From standing he doesn't have scary lows either. cd3 is good though but pretty slow.

Yo! Calling out all Bruce mains. I have couple of questions. Are Bruce's muay thai clinch chain throws usefull? Can it be utilized as much as for example King's/Armor King's chain throws? Is it really worth learning and diving deep to bruce's throwing game?

Double Jacket Jimmy No. Bruce’s chain throws are useless because of their slow startup, easy throw break window, low damage, bad oki opportunities and very hard input window for the follow-ups. They’re so impractical that no one uses them on any skill level.

Christopher Martin Thanks for the clarification. I was always curious about Bruce’s chain throws but my lazy ass didn’t manage to actually pick up and lab him. I was always surprised that King/Armor King and Nina players do use their chain throws at least once per match but I never seen Bruce players do that. And I remember he had like at least 5 or 6 variations of chain throws. Such a shame they are useless.

You didn’t mention his b1+2 safe 15 launcher although not used for block punishment was good to stop sidesteps b 1 (2) 1 was an amazing 11 frame counter hit string first two hits jailed tracked both ways and completely safe the list goes on with this man Top 3 easy

You forgot a very important thing about his df4. On CH it gave you a free 2 in Muay Thai stance.

I hate how instead of bringing Bruce back they brought two horribpe replacements in the form or fahkurahm and josie. Bruce's presence in tekken makes sense as kazuya body guard. Josie literally enters the tekken tournament because Kuma scares her

Can anyone explain why they keep kicking my boy Bruce Irvin to the side like trash and replace him with Josie? Bruce could literally be in the t7 storyline because he was Kazuya's BODYGUARD for crying out loud. Sucks that they won't give him the respect he deserves.

My respect for Josie disappeared when she stole my favorite character's moves and slot. I would take Bruce over her in the game any day, honestly his exclusion has made me hate Josie. I refuse to use her even if she is similar.

While b/f+4 is cool and dandy, it's actually -10 in this game, so you can't spam it at will, also it's pretty linear, and the range isn't that good. It's still a pretty deadly move to use up close, or at the wall.
