Just imagine your Grandmother running around in heels and dancing like that for hours…..She was in Her 60’s then!

Both the slower beginning and the explosive bottom half are in the original. She stretched certain parts for performance, but the basic structure is there.

She was 60 years old during this taping. Look at her running in high heels across the stage! She was full of energy the entire time and never missed a beat. She was a true Rock & Roller and she gave her all for every performance. She was there to give the audience the best that she had every single time. She was an amazing artist, performer, and entertainer with an incredible, tragic, and triumphant life story. She was one of a kind.

Like a volcano....smoke and then eruption...on stage Tina was a tornado and this voice so distinctive....in 2000 she was 61!!! respect dear TINA

Tina was nearly 60 years old when this was recorded! Simply amazing!

This song was always performed like this with a slow build up then picking up the pace for the second half. This was a longer version for the the concert but basically the same. Her energy is incedible and what is even more amazing is she was 60 at the time. She is not only keeping up with girls less than half her age. She is doing it all in 3-4 inch heels that would kill other women to walk in let alone dance. And she still had the best legs EVER. There will never be another Tina.

She aways went from each end of the stage so every one could see her.. every show

Set the audience on fire everytime, even in a video 25 years later. I love what Chase says. In my own experience, after seeing her a number of times live and in every recorded performance available, every Tina Turner concert is the best Tina Turner concert❤❤❤

If you payed attention to when she was talking she explainen that they were gonna do the beginning of the song nice and easy and then nice and rough. You got the answer already there lol

She is known as the Queen of Tock and Roll. Sadly, she passed away a little under a year ago from health problems. I have seen her three times live and her energy was just breathtaking. She will always be my favorite entertainer. Just absolutely amazing to see her live and you’re right she would keep going and you’re just exhausted trying to keep up with her. rest in peace Queen!

Just for a change of pace, listen to the original Proud Mary by Creedence Cearwater Revival, and see the way this song exploded under Tina's brilliance.

CCR (Creedence Clearwater Revival) made the original. Ike and Tina Truner kicked it up a notch with their tempo transition version. It in their live video in 1971. This is similar to their 1971 version. Tina Turner is just dynamite in this performance.

Mid-song? How about talking over the beginning, asking if the whole song was going to be slow....AS she's telling you exactly how they do the song?? LOL Like pause if you're going to talk, and save the majority of it for afterwards.

Yes, that volume issue needs to be fixed. Need the headphones full volume to hear the music good and then I constantly have to turn it down when he starts talking (which is a lot) or blow my eardrums out.
