Tina was a woman who aged well. She was 50 years old when this was filmed and looked astonishingly beautiful even into her 70s when she quit performing live concerts.

Sad that we lost another one of the greats recently. Tina Turner was the "Queen of Rock 'n' Roll". She spanned over 6 decades of music. She started out with her husband Ike & had some great hits such as "Proud Mary", "It's Gonna Work Out Fine", "River Deep-Mountain High" & "Nutbush City Limits". But she had even bigger hits when she went solo such as "Better Be Good To Me", "Private Dancer", "We Don't Need Another Hero", "Typical Male", "I Don't Wanna Fight", "GoldenEye", "The Best", "It's Only Love" (duet with Bryan Adams) etc.

If you have not seen Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome WATCH IT!! She was the star of the movie IMHO even above Mel Gibson. That outfit she was wearing is the same as the one she wore in the movie.

That outfit is the costume she wore in "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome".

I first saw her when she was the star of “The Ike and Tina Turner Review”. Yeah, I’m a fossil. At that time we didn’t have a clue about the private hell she was living 😢

This woman is the Queen of Rock & Roll. Born in 1939 & passed in 2023 at 84. She is a legend, an icon for most female artists. She has won every award & distinction in the industry, including induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice which is rare. She was the first black woman on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine. She toured with the Rolling Stones in the 60's And here she is, the Ruler of Bartertown, Aunty Entity. She was pushing fifty in this Mad Max (3rd movie) role. RIP Queen! ~Simply the Best~

MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME... A Movie you could enjoy reacting to! This was the third Mad Max Movie with Mel in it, and Tina Really Shined as an Actress in it!

I had a lot of respect for her as a person. To say she came from a rough upbringing would be putting it mildly. Her mother died, and she was abandoned by her father. She was physically and sexually abused as well. Then she was in a bad marriage with Ike who beat her. Thank goodness for her producer who convinced her that she had the talent to pursue a solo career. Of course, she had issues to overcome as a result of what she'd been, though. But what an incredible lady she was.

Saw Mad Max: Beyond ThunderDome at its premier in San Francisco. Tina Turner STOLE THE SHOW!!! 3/4 of the audience were in Mad Max garb. What an event!!! If you haven’t seen this movie yet, buy it, rent it, steal it, whatever but just JUST WATCH IT!!!

I saw Tina in her earlier years, and she was a wild woman onstage. There was nothing like her. If you watch Beyonce onstage you see only a fraction of what Tina was. Tina doing the live version of "Proud Mary" at Wembley in the year 2000 at the age of 61 gives just a hint of what she was when I first saw her in the 60's with Ike Turner. Watch to her doing "River Deep, Mountain High", the live version from 1971 then you'll see. Also listen to "Private Dancer", "What's Love Got To Do With It", and "Better Be Good To Me" from her later years. RIP Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock and Roll.

Actually the song is called "The Best". Watch it live from Arnhem. And "Tina the Musical" I believe is currently playing in London. My cousin went just a few weeks ago. I saw it last year. Great show.

I was going to skip through this Vlog. Then the "Queen" started singing, Mad Max Beyond the Thunder Dome. Flashbacks, omg so good. This was filmed in Australia, while filming Mad Max, was going on. I've always wondered if ZZ Top's song "Legs" was about Tina Turner????

Watch her performances. She's in the movie who is over the thinferdome. But her performances are so fire and you'll understand your mom's love of her. She is/was one of a kind

My dad would get an off work gig doing security for Ike and Tina when they'd do a southern sweep of the local joints. He'd come in and say Tina's comin' to Moss Point! Back then, it was like a long-lost cousin coming to town. Nevermind Ike. We already knew about the abuse. After that, when they appeared on Johnny Carson, we could see, even before the show, he'd roughed her up. She beat it all, and even in New Orleans in her 60's she was out-dancing her backup girls less than half her age. The word legend doesn't come close.

This is the only time Tina Turner just stood still and sang. She usually was constantly moving. This was the movie, " Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Tina played Aunty Entity, the bad guy/girl . She was great in thar role. Yes Mel Gibson played Mad Max. This is the second Mad Max movie.

Probably my favorite Tina Turner song from her 80s rebirth. You must check out her first movie performance in the Who's 1975 rock opera movie, Tommy. Tina's performance as the Acid Queen is mind blowing!

Private Dancer is one of my favorite Tina Turner songs.

She was a family member of mine. I don’t remember her much. She held me when I was a baby. She was at my house quite a lot. My mom use to help her get dressed for gigs.

When I think of the "perfect" superhero costume, this is it. I know she was sort of an anti-hero in the film, but this whole character was just so powerful. Like Ms. Turner was.
