“We Don’t Need Another Hero” reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. There’s another Tina song on the soundtrack called “One Of The Living” is a awesome rock song. It plays over the opening credits of “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome”. It peaked at #15 on the Billboard Hot 100.

No. 1 in the UK.....and rightly so. Think it was between Duran Duran's 'A view to a kill' and Midge Ure's 'If I was' in terms of when in 1985.

Her character's name in the film was Auntie Entity , she played a rough and tough leader of Bartertown, in a post apocalyptic world. I thought she was great. Another good song from the movie, by her is ONE OF THE LIVING,

This is from the third Mad Max film; the song was nominated for a Golden Globe, deservingly. You can tell that Tina Turner, besides being a kick-ass singer is also a great actress, proven by the fact that the movie only won one award: an NAACP for Tina’s performance 🤣 she’s a goddess, and you can tell she’s loving every bit of being in that movie… this woman is a treasure. She’ll be SO missed when she passes, don’t even wanna think about it now 😂😂😂

I saw her in concert twice in the 80s and 90s. That saxophone player guy was on tour with her. He does a great job on 'One of the Living,' the other song from the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome soundtrack. If you like Tina's lower register, definitely check out "Why Must We Wait Until Tonight".

Tina Turner once danced right above my head on a crane arm platform at her concert in Wembley Stadium in London, she waved down at me and smiled at me as the nearest face in the crowd below her as she sang and danced on this little platform that reached out right above the audience. Quite surreal and amazing haha.

Hello *Dereck,* Yes, also for me, *Private Dancer* stay the number 1. Yet, *Another Hero* is a masterpiece too (two? lol ). Arrangements are incredible and her voice at its top. To talk "cinema", I'm not a fan of *Mad Max 3.* For me, it's definitely a film that's far too "Hollywood," a commissioned film. Whereas *Mad Max 1* and *2* are much more in the vein of European realistic cinema. Even though both are Australian and directed by *George Miller.* We feel in the first two films of the series the director has drawn much more from European cinema and especially Italian for the realism and darkness of the characters, with this very European "rawness". There aren't many good feelings. *Mad Max* becomes a hero totally despite himself. The central character "Max" isn't, strictly speaking, an altruistic character, even if he's a policeman by profession. He's more of an adrenaline-addicted hunter who somehow enjoys the violence of his daily life. He almost lives for it. It's the arrival of a gang of bikers in the sector he supervises which will cause him to become aware of the raw reality of this world and its violence. At the precise moment when it touches him, more personally than ever. He acts first out of personal revenge in the first part, then out of necessity in the second, where his character has become really very cynical. *Mad Max 1* is the movie that made *Mel Gibson* famous all over the world. Before that, we didn't know him. We can't imagine today how the first two parts of *Mad Max* were events. It was even more revolutionary than the first films of *Tarantino.* That's to say! Peace, folks. 🤗

Tina is usually dancing in her videos but she stands completely still in this one - and it's because of the weight of the dress.

Tina was Mad Max's arch nemesis in the last of the series of Mad Max films filmed in Australia. It was filmed in my state around Coober Pedy, South Australia and in New South Wales. After that they did a final Mad Max years later without Mel. Mel is around my age and in 1980 he was deemed the Sexiest Man Alive and with good reason if you go back on any of his movies like Gallipoli, The Bounty etc., but sadly he has lost favour with me because he now looks 20 years older than he is - LOL!! Anyway This movie that Tina is singing for was MAD MAX BEYOND THUNDERDOME. Yes the song is very catchy and she was at her peak in those years I believe.

Yes, you must watch the movie. I've watched all the Mad Maxes but no longer interested in any except Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. I will watch that one eveytime. In fact, I believe I have it taped somewhere... on VHS.. or Beta! Hey, stop laughing! ;-) Love that Tina Turner.

Don't think you've done Better be Good to Me by Tina Turner. Her best song IMO.. Massive Bass.

How about reacting to some old school JPOP. Equal Romance by CoCo for example. It was featured in the anime Ranma 1/2.
