Effie never seems to really want to carry her baby....I have never really seen a mother gorilla let their baby that young be so far away from them....they're always within arms reach when the babies are that small. I'm glad she went over and picked the baby up when Alika came over not bc I thought Alika would hurt the baby but bc I wanted to see if Effie would be protective. Alika looked so sweet trying to get close to both of her siblings lol. She's so sweet and curious. Just too cute.

Maybe it's a captivity thing cause, MOST babies, the mothers won't let you near for a few months.

She doesn’t pick her up she just drags her, I guess at least she does some thing. She could probably use some hugs and attention from Alika.

😂😂 Alika is so curious about her tiny sibling❣️ I love how she very gently reached out her index finger to touch the baby, but Mama wasn’t having it.
