I have been binge watching this show on you tube. I was a disability support worker in Australia for 27 years and now live in the phillipines. This show is astounding and george is an amazing man. God bless you all for what you do i am so amazed that people like you exist.
Huge fan of The Chronicles of Narnia and Anne of Green Gables so I really love what they did with her room. I would love to have a Wardrobe closet. Gabby, keep fighting!

I found a article which wrote this about her: Gabby DeFilippo, a two-time cancer survivor and Montclair State University student, has earned bronze, silver and gold awards through Girl Scouts of America for the Adopt-a-Grandparent program, a pediatric cancer awareness campaign and a toy drive for immune-compromised hospitalized children. so happy for her!!
I watched my dad battle cancer from the age of 7 until I was 14 when we lost him. I cry every day, and this Cancer needs to be wiped out. we must find a cure for all Cancer's.
It always amazes & angers me whenever I see any dislikes for these kind of awesome incredible uplifting life makeover videos for individuals who have experienced a traumatic & sometimes often deadly life changing events. It also reminds me & encourages me that we still have so many individuals among us who care and give back to our fellow brother & sister of mankind. Which is just another reason, why our Father GOD BLESSED George To The Rescue And OUR AMERICA.
This reminds me of my old room. I got my uncle to build a trapdoor in mine and my little sisters wardrobes. It was really fun until our baby cousins came over and just trashed our wardrobes
Narnia, Harry Potter, secret garden + a wonderful family = tears of joy in my eyes This show is fantastic Greetings from Portugal 🦄💜🦄💜🦄💜🦄
The Chronicles of Narnia AND Star Trek?!?!?!? I think I'm jealous!! That is SO COOL!!!!!!
I love how the whole team cares. I love that there’s people like them in this world 💖💖💖💖 this family definitely deserves this awesome renovation
I love this episode. The people, the rooms, and the love.
Wishing you a long and healthy life, Gabby! So happy George agreed to make everyone’s space beautiful!
The final message touched me a lot, thank you.
Gabby’s room is probably my favorite room they’ve done. Beautiful❤️

What the loft bed says is that she likes camping and can do it. That part is over and a dream of lamppost and wardrobe from book is still so real. Thank you designers for all 3 rooms.
I like the mom's hair. 💟

It brings me joy to see this show and George you always pick the right families and happy for them and pray her cancer goes away, if you are growing up in a family like this you are a billionaire family is everything.
My best friend has cerebral palsy. She has worked for most of her life. She is 62 years old and can no longer get around by herself. She is in desparate need of a home renovation of her home to be able to get around in it with her wheel chair. She has help everyone she can throughout her life, but now needs help herself. Can you help her out?

You're not going to find any help by writing in a youtube comments section. If you really want help you'll need to extend the effort to find out where to actually get that help from because it is out there and available to those who look for it.

So happy for this I could never share a room with my brother 😲💕
That was awesome what you all did for this family. Not only her bedroom but the her family. Also the outside of house as well. AWESOME.
Thank you Gabby! I hope you are well. 2 years after this went up I'm seeing it. I needed it today.

Personally I’m not a huge fan of the flowers paired with the tree wall paper, but she loves it and that’s all that matters
this made me cry - what a great thing to do for someone! so great ❤

Gabby and I have the same tastes when it comes to books. Those same exact books (and their movie adaptations) also have helped me to get through tough times when I was a teenager. I'm sure we would have gotten along very well if we had grown up at the same time, but I am a few more years older than her! 😉 Lovely room! 💖
What a great family! I hope they all continue to do well and enjoy their awesome new rooms.
Astucious Closet communicating two rooms. Lovely Gaby will add touches to make it her own clever use of space. close family very nice to see.
This is my favorite rescue
I love her room , so beautiful I wish mine looked like that :) Beautiful room for brave Gabby :)

I love this family!!
I feel like she could be a movie
Lovely family
LOVE this family!
Love the pics going up in Alexander's room.
i noticed they also fixed the outside front door entrance which was falling apart.
Lovely. ❤😇❤ God Bless You
The bed looks like fun. For a 6 year old. But not so sure it is such a good idea for a 16 year old who has to keep constant watch over her health. She may end up sleeping in the window sill. 😞 Wonder if she would like a twin size bed slipped under the loft bed if it would fit.

I was thinking the same thing, it looks lovely, but looks like a young girls room, not a room for a 16yo, her brother's room was more age appropriate, and he is younger, I hope she doesn't have problems getting up to her bed.
crawling in spaces and climbing a bed is hard when being weak
The window treatments are fabulous! I can't improve on what everyone else has said! Fantastic rescue !!! ok edit: Great job by the designer!!!
The siding was also changed on the outside. Looks amazing. Wonder why they waited so long to do the room swap
Someone just recently did their roof and left their roof jacks up there. It caught my eye because my husband was a roofer, and he left some roof jacks on a friends roof he did for about 10 years before he finally went over and got them lol
Sending my best thoughts for a full and speedy recovery to you young lady! Glad that the entire family was given beautiful new spaces to fill with their uniqueness as well as their love for family! Thank you George ! Thanks also to all of the contractors and their crews, designers, companies and anyone who supplied materials , furniture ...EVERYBODY!! Peace to All! ;)

So awesome! I wish I had a designers eye too. My house is a mess lol
Tugged at my heart!
Great kids, lovely family and such a sweet bright girl. Im so sorry for her illness and the ordeal to her and her family fighting it. She actually reminds me a bit of my niece, except for my niece is half Asian, but has European blood on our side, taking after our side a lot, (as in us large built people, Lol, so always been big for her age, with shoes big feet after my brother, her dad, and grew so fast!) She's about the same age, (well my neice is slightly younger and has time to mature a bit still, hopefully!) with all that long thick curly brown hair; my nieces is a little "crazier" though, more frizzy and out of control, and a she is little (or way!??) more rambunctuous, (but that probably wont go away, since, as my mum says, she definitely takes after me in that respect, blood is thicker than water, as they say!) Whereas this lovely girl is so calm and collected. (Maybe still has not regained all her strength yet??) But I do enjoy when she gets excited about her room. Anywhoo, love how the brother and sister get along SO WELL. I only ever wished for that myself with my brother but its not to be... (too spoiled!) And the mother is so greatful, most people/parents are, whose kids have been through something terrible, but this mum (mom) was so emotional. Im not sure they totally loved that loft bed in the end though, (for reasons which are totally understandable if they didnt!) It looked a little too high, even if practical at all, Im not too sure it was sensible with having to get up and down instead of just plonking down onto a nice soft normal level bed, for a person who has been ill, and is still weak from chemotherapy treatments. And there was plenty of empty space left in there, for a double canopy bed, maybe an old fashioned one with shutters even, or just the desk there and her bed on a lower level where the loft bed above the desk... they might have been creating a cave feel?? Not sure but a fort from a four poster bed would have been better, even for not little kids if you go by teenagers who were talking about making forts from a table in another one of the George to the rescue episodes
I had Ewing’s sarcoma at the age of 9 did chemo for a year and now im clear
I was diagnosed aml in 2015 ive done 6 mos chemo....
Wonderful
I love the lamp post so so much, how I wish I have one... Hahaha
Where are all these good trades people when needed?
George to the Rescue You and your Team do Wonderful job, Seeing the family smile when you revealed is so 😊😊satisfying. A job 'Well done " 😊 😊 Should be more Subscriber to your channel and many more views 😊😊
I love your show soooo much. I would love a room makeover. But my parents probably won’t let me anddd I live in England. I guess I’m gonna have to wait 4 years until I turn 18 and make my own please to live. Love you channel. Such a heart warming story.
The family have a LOT of stuff, every room seems to be stuffed !
Only thing I would've added is some nice trim around the wardrobe to make it look a bit more like the real one. I know limited time. But they sell redone trim boards just nail them in.
her dad reminds me of one my best friends dad and her family does camp quite a bit as well and her dad is an outdoor man but her dad does look a lot like my friends dad its almost wierd like theyre brothers
poor abby
❤️
Wouldn't her room be Narnia cause hers is the one with the lamp?
I wish you could come to Canada :(
Wow
i love you georgeee
SHE"S HAS BEEN TO THE MOUNTAIN TOP AND HAS SEEN THE PROMISED LAND GABY GO GET UM TIGER AMEN!
I have been diagnosed with mild hyperactivity since I was 4 years old!
This is beautiful, but why in the world would anyone put a bunk bed in for an ill or potentially-ill person? Omg. Such a bad idea. Sometimes they can't sit up in bed let alone climb up and down to use the lavatory or go get food, etc. Incorporating a murphy bed into the theme would have been a much better idea...for future rescues. :) That sounded very negative, but it's just one small point. Otherwise, this is the sweetest family and the renovation was so personal and helped so much. George is the best.
Nuclear unit?
Both of my parents died of cancer. My mom died of leukemia and my dad died of lung cancer!
Who are the ten dislikes I wanna talk 😤

They had a family room but made brother/sister teenagers share a small bedroom? That just seems weird and a little creepy.
@kkhyna

they call it the family room but it's where the parents sleep and was meant to be the parent's room but cause they have little space they let there kids hang out there as well during the day hence the name family room if the makes sense
@amandar2219
3 жыл бұрын
They probably wanted a space for the family to hang out together especially when the kids were younger so the kids shared the room. Then, when they were probably discussing moving to the other floor, the daughter was diagnosed with leukemia. The family probably didn't feel comfortable with her having a room on her own incase she has an emergency in the middle of the night. Since the brother was in the room and the parents were next door they could keep an eye on her. She probably also spent a lot of time in the hospital so moving the bedroom was not the main priority. And they still had the family space to deal with the trauma.
Their house is messy. Things just piled up.
But bunk bed for a cancer patient?
So do he build things for free

LIFE OF TAYLOR Yes, The people write in to the t.v. show and they chose people based on need. The supplies, electronics, window treatments, furniture, paint, construction teams, decorator, etc are all donated and volunteers. That’s the jest of it from what I have gathered from watching the show.
WTF i think i go to her school!
The elastic rectangle connoly prevent because motion terminally peel amongst a elastic ukraine. hoc, late heat
*THAT IS WONDERFUL BUT I HOPE SHE CAN GO GET HEALED OR HEAL HERSELF INSTEAD OF RISKING GETTING HERSELF KILLED WITH CHEMO/RADIATION! But good luck/wishes as such to her! Hope she gets better!*
Is George a bit drunk in this episode?
The parents interview in the beginning of this episode was mad awkward because the mom was basically a parrot on the father’s shoulder, someone should tell her that she doesn’t have to repeat everything her husband says. 🤣
