I once was certified as an Occupational First Aider Level 2. It was a week-long training program, and we did CPR every day. I called it CPR aerobics because it required as much energy and persistence as it would in an aerobics class - only this was training to save lives. Many kudos to the Plainsboro EMS Rescue Squad for all that they give to their community.

My vol station was the opposite... no lounge to relax in, but a huge, restaurant quality kitchen. Monthly pancake breakfasts, we'd easily feed 300 people. 4th of July field day, 5000 meals easily (bbq chicken (50 yard long open bbq pit), clam chowder, endless hot dogs and hamburgers, and the infamous beer tent). I catered my sister's wedding out of that kitchen and fed 100 people with ease. Thinking back though, if we'd had a lounge, it wouldn't have gotten used much. Too many assholes, the only time everybody got along was on calls, then it was go time and everybody worked together. Company-only events, everybody just hung with their cliques and talked shit about the others. I'd have loved to be in this group of amazing volunteers. They truly deserved this.

For everyone that is reading my comments, please do not forget those who help your community without expecting anything in return to donate, give them gift certificates for coffee, perhaps money donations, even equipment, you never will know when they will come to your rescue. GOD BLESS ALL OF THEM AND KEEP THEM SAFE.

George O; your decorators and contractors always come through on these rescues. So to see that the coffee maker and the sink was still in the room with the bunk beds where it needs to be quite and sans light so they can get a few Zzz's when they are there on those long daytime shifts, well that surprised me.

I thought when the designer said dark colors it would make the basement seem dark and dingy. The long wall of cupboard-shelving is very light. And the dark blue with white adds a beautiful color! The children are supper cute! Such a lovely family! I like it when things are explained to us, like putting board up on concrete to wallpaper. Some day maybe ill know what to want for updates in my house. In israel my whole home is concrete. Also little tips on how why they did something. Anyway its wonderful the care and love and goodness!!

As someone who has had nothing several times, and who has severe allergies, I can't agree that "anything is better than nothing...," because one never knows what's inside the cushions of stuffed furniture (including a huge nest of shrews once...EEWW!!! That was a nightmare to deal with!) In an ideal world, there would never be a need to dump furniture because of its age, but for now, reality bites, and it's often better to get rid of the old, found-on-the-curb (dirty, who-knows-who-did-what on it) furniture.

It would be great to help those less fortunate through donations of anything older than can be cleaned up fixed with minor repairs etc.. just think about it... #wastenotwantnot #bekind Hope everyone is having a wonderful day/night!
