Absolutely fantastic. In my MBA program for our class on Organizational Behavior, this video was assigned for one of our modules. I'm so glad it was assigned because it is incredible and inspiring. Thank you for sharing such amazing content so openly and freely, and thank you for enhancing my world!

Same for me at NEXFORD
I was invited to tour their office and attend an 11:11 meeting - the culture is just as good as Jay makes it sound in this excellent talk. They have done something special there and I hope more companies catch on to their way of thinking. As someone who has had good jobs turn sour due to high performers with bad attitudes that management protects, I can really appreciate Jay's devotion to culture.
Congrats on 1 million views Jay! We're glad to have you as part of our organization and culture as well. Keep up the great work!
Citing this company in my research paper. The value/skill grid at 15:05 is brilliant.
Thanks for this presentation Jay. You are correct that a company's culture is all about intention. My favorite book on this topic is "Building a Culture of Intention" published by Helios HR. Great stories.
Truly a must-watch video with advice that stands the test of time. Entrepreneurs and employees alike have a powerful influence on company culture no matter where they work; it's refreshing to see someone putting culture before profit knowing that if one thing happens the other will too.
Congratulations on 1 million hits and on Firespring being named to Inc. Magazine's inaugural 50 Best Workplaces list in 2016. More evidence that a vibrant culture really is the special sauce.
Inspiring! Proves that culture can make all the difference in the workplace. Glad to see 1 million views-this is something every business owner should watch!
Its a a great video. Just few days back I spent the evening explaining my theory about how company can do bug saving by building the company culture. In this day Im starting my research on comp. culture for my thesis and this video encouraged me that I'm on right track. Hope I can meet you one day on some conference or read your book :)
What an inspiring video! :) I totally agree, a company is nothing without its people. We should create work environments our employees can thrive, grow, and stay motivated. Hope to see more awesome content! :)

Very well said, Brian! It falls to the people within a company to actually execute the strategies, plans, and processes to make a business successful

Agreed Brian. Thanks for being a leader in this space yourself. You are inspiring to so many.
I don't think any of his ideas can be applied to any other company but his, but I love his attitude.
TEDx is the best in sharing experience that gives a free of charge sharing experience, Thump up
One of my favorite TED x videos. Showing how it's done.
Thank you, for this! It helps me to prepare my presentation concept!
1 million views! Way cool! This is a great message and something that Jay lives every day. Congrats on the milestone.
Great question Laura! I'll never understand the companies that don't get this concept.
This was a GREAT talk!
I want to work there! Inspiring.
If you have 12 minutes, I encourage you to view my favorite talk from TEDxLincoln. Search for: TEDxLincoln Russell Barthalow
Ditto. It's ALL about attitude!!
Thanks for sharing this with me Julie. I agree. Let's apply :-)
I want to work for a company like this!
Maybe they'll let us split a position? Firespring has a spa and ladies lounge with a breast-feeding area for nursing mothers. So cool.
It would be awesome if healthcare organization started implementing and focusing on the culture. The culture can make you or break you but you have to be genuine about it. If you going to try to change the culture but solely seeking the performance without creating and truly committing to the values forget about it. Workers will know you are not real and the culture will only get worse.
What is the paper on?
Go Firespring!

I understand why he was fired. His 11-11-11 (K-K-K) culture is telling.
Company culture
The real departure from the airports of modernity towards the past is inevitable, with the intention of enriching the deficiencies of the new consciousness with the impetus of the ancient purposeful philosophy. Therefore, the conceptual stages related to the verbal development must be devoted away from the weak discussion and vernacular dialogues aimed at spreading the superficial culture which is the cause of cultural, scientific, literary and industrial backward To countries. I think it's mostly about attitude anyway. There's no way you could implement these kind of ideas unless your CEO gives a shit about it. We implemented the values exercise and the grid - and they've worked great for us.
19:33 The average person spends more waking hours at work than anywhere else. Why wouldn't you want to work at a place that feeds you (rather than depletes you) of energy?
I was so intrigued at his Ted Talk, I immediately went to research the company only to find little or no diversity or inclusiveness. At least, that what the company photo screams. As a company, I feel that you limit potential and development by not being inclusive and open to this ever changing global world that we live in. Talent comes in many shapes and forms. It starts at the top.
This is kinda lit
Someone has been studying MBM. Maybe give credit where credit is due

Good info, but I'm disappointed that some of the "contests" are biased towards men...

It is a great video but I observed that there are no diverse race. Everyone seen as employees are of the same race, and with this I doubt if the corporate culture is distinct as described. Although, I stand to be corrected.
*claps* "culture by design NOT chance!
