Hey guys, it's been a while now since our great battle of Lloydoslavia and the dust has finally settled amongst the ruins, but we're definitely not finished with Battlefront's amazing Team Yankee models.
This week we're unboxing the T-72 Tanks which were a huge crowd pleaser over the weekend with their manoeuvrability.
If you missed out on the Team Yankee Weekend you can find it HERE.
How would you play the T72s?

The T-72 actually had a dozer blade on the front so it could self entrench. That's why it has such a pointed front.

That tube shaped thing on the back is the snorkel for the deep fording kit

Besides the tanks there was Humvees with TOW missiles, dug in troops with AT missiles. TOT missions for the artillery. Mine fields laid by plane, artillery and by hand. Fortified lines also existed along Fulda Gap and they had pre-planned fire traps/ kill boxes set up one after the other. Then of course there's little gems like the A10 flying over head. The German's hadn't forgotten how bad they got spanked at Kursk and planned to give the Russians some of their own medicine.

These commander's machine guns are likely the NSVT, since these are mentioned more in the novel than the DShK and the NSVT is lighter and easier to handle on a tank.

Can't wait to get my Red Flag tank battalion in a couple of weeks. Decided on the tank battalion first, because the Motor Rifle Battalion is SO much infantry and IFVs...

Still plugging away at Bolt Action, so no Team Yankee for me. I like the T-72s though.

@TheBeastsOfWar I have a question. I am already collecting model aircraft which airplanes and tanks are my favorite while I do really find ships interesting. I was wondering? what is the cheapest but most accurate to history and best quality company to buy a tank model for it's price

my aircraft collection is only pretty small because I have to drive out to the air museum in the capitol of my province to find any relatively good cheep ones and I am also interested in starting a model tank collection. I also want to know the price relating to my question in the previous comment

Too bad I can't find anyone in this part of Kentucky that play these miniature games, its pretty much 40k or nothing here. Even though the original Harold Coyle book pretty much focused on Cpt. Bannon and his cav troopers I was wondering if there were plans for other NATO armies such as the Roal Army or Bunduswher? I'd like to see Chieftain and Leopard on the table in this game.

+szlachcic22 I guess even though I am a US Citizen I always like doing things a little different in table top and I would really like to field an RTR army.

Concerning the Merkava, its *mer*, not *muh* in its pronunciation. And dont buy into the engine at the front = protection idea, an engine is a hunk of soft metal ( usually aluminium ), its not going to do squat against a sabot dart. And the Merkava ( especially some of the first versions ) were not that well armored, with most of the protection coming from the steep shaping of the upper hull and turret ( turret is basically a cheese wedge on a dome ), hence why a lot of applique armor was added to them later on. The main goal of the Merkava was simply to just have a home produced tank for Israel, so they did not have to rely on outside shipments of vehicles, that could easily be interfered with trough war or politics.
